[Inferno] Farm Rakkanoth solo as a wizard

What you need is:
Familiar - Ancient Guardian makes it so whenever you drop below 35% health it absorbs 1 attack every 6 seconds.
REMOVE ALL youre life/sec gear, then bring ur hp below 35% of ur max (That's easily done with unequipping items and then equip them back on!)

For example you would go to the boss like this: 4721/30000
Your HP will never gonna go up

Then go FULL dps spec:
Magic Weapon with Venom
Teleport Wormhole
Storm Armor with the Rune to make you run faster on hit
Familiar with ancient Guardian ofc
Arcane Orb with Obliteration
and Venom Hydra

For passive you should go with glasscannon, evocation and critical mass

Tactic:

At the beginning he will teleport to you, but he can't kill you because your Familiar will absorb it.
Before he hits you, you can use hydra and you can just run 25% faster with storm armor or just blink away

IMPORTANT is, NEVER stay close to him otherwise he will summon his minions
Just go max range and he will teleport to you again and then you just repeat the steps at the beginning of the fight!

It's a good method. The trick is to get your health below 35%. To do so put some gear on without vit (buy from vendors if you like) and log out. Log back in and put your vit gear on and your health will go down. Make sure your gear doesn't have regen on it.

confirmed. BUT, its worthless, the time it take to kill this guy you can kill the other boss 9 times lol. He doesnt drop anything different from the quest 1 boss either.

The title says "Farm Rakkanoth". Therefore, this should be an exploit that allows you to farm him. A 5 minute boss battle is not a farm. This should be titled, how to kill Rakkanoth solo as a wizard. So technically yea, it is worthless when it comes to farming.

A five minute fight is pretty good for inferno solo as a wizard solo. Considering it took method's group of 4 8 minutes to kill skele king.

I'd suggest illusionist instead of one of the other passives, that way you can always teleport away when he attacks you. I had some close calls where he moved to the middle of the room early and I didnt have TP yet, so that helps a lot.

Also, Make sure you don't have life leech. It seems so meaningless in inferno until you realize it just leeched you above 35% hp. Ouch.


And yeah, its really not worth farming IMO, but its nice to know that I have legit progress incase they fix the act skipping bug.

Uhm... Doesn't farming mean doing the same content repeatedly in order to gain something (gold, drops, whatever)? This is farming aswell.

You can farm Iskatu as a Wizard, takes no time.

Did they hotfix this for wizards? I can't get my HP to stay at the unequipped HP level. When I reequip my armor it stays at 100% life.
