Yup, spawn rate appears nerfed on NA.

Not sure what Blizzard is trying to do... nerfing all farm spots on D3

Check the WHOLE area, there are multiple spawn points.

Also, I found that if i'm having a dry spell (4-5 runs without a goblin), that if I go kill Maghda i'll get multiple goblins in a row. Might just be a coincidence but it's worth testing.

I know most of the spawn points since I ran this hundreds of times. I still think it's nerfed but I guess I may have bad luck today?

Seems nerfed but I'm also doing this with 3 friends so one of us usually finds one within a minute and we all just join that game.

Giving you 2 rep, there is better farms out there, specially with higher tier loot, but this one is prob good if your more then 1 in a party farming it. ^^

He can have more than 30 spawnpoints, I have seen him in LOADS of different places in this tiny area. He can be anywhere so look everywhere! Especially in corners that might be out of your screen when doing speedruns as demon hunter.

The spawn seems indeed a bit nerfed now. Not sure by howmuch. It's still worth farming it for me atleast.

Yea it seems as if it got nerfed somehow... in 10 runs i only encountered him twice... Although, i got some really amazing loot from the boxes, about 4 yellows and a legendary bow was just lying there on the ground....

But yea i think it has been nerfed... Oh well, off to farm maghda :P

Yup still seems to be working in US servers, I went through a no show patch of about 6 - 8 runs but then he appeared a fairly consistently for a few hours. Still seem sviable and drops decently as well.

On top of that in between there can be spawns of rare purples as well which can drop!

Killed it like 20 times, and me neither my friend got a single good drop... the same with all the other "farming" sites, like treasure chests, easy bosses, etc... in total we looted like 70 times and not a single drop (x2 people)

I haven't done this today but as of last night I was getting the goblin about 20% of the time over about 50 runs in Hell mode. I ventured north on all of my runs too since just outside of the gates, to the north and west a bit is a random event area. Sometimes this would include a resplendent chest which was worth doing. There are also lots of boss packs around this area and I even found a treasure goblin or two in the area around this event spawn.

This run for me is very profitable with many chests and caches. I can suit up in my Gold Find gear and do this on Hell very easily and make over 200k an hour as a level 55 character. I also still get EXP doing this.
