I want to have a usable computer while my bots run

Is it possible to get a setup going on a personal machine that will allow bots to run in the background while still allowing the user access to simple tasks? I've heard stuff about VM's, but I don't know anything about them. Could anyone point me in the right direction?

ISBoxer does an excellent job. If you're using autoit bots then you'll have to use VM's.

Use bots that don't require foreground processes to operate. If you're using autoit scripts you'll waste more resources getting them to run on a virtual machine.

    Pay to play.

Google virtual machines - you simply install multiple instances of windows that you can run in separate windows on the same computer. Takes up a lot of resources compared to better bots.

I understand it will take a lot of resources, but I'd bet my computer could handle that + google chrome to surf the web in my spare time. I don't want to fork over any money just yet, I haven't started making too much from botting yet.

Yes, I'm using an AutoIT bot. Any recommendations for a VM software?
