D3 Bots Are DEAD and "GONE"

This latest patch broke all of the bots. It seems that all of them are broken permanently. For example, there are reports that Turbo HUD won't be back. DemonBuddy over at Bossland has removed the DB forum and posted a banner page that states "Demonbuddy is GONE!" .The devs at ROS BOT claim to have a working Beta, but they are not releasing it to the public, and it seems questionable. The new Diablo 3 patch randomly hides the data necessary for a bot. The data does not stay in the same place, so it is very difficult to create a bot that will first discover the newest location of the data as it periodically changes, and then manipulate the data to run a bot. Blizzard did the same thing with World of Warcraft recently, and some bot developers figured out a way to work around it with WoW. An updated D3 bot will not be easy and it will not be a quick fix. This may take weeks or months if it ever happens at all.

From the ros-bot page: "In the last 24h, 13.436 legendary items and 1.644 set items have been dropped by your bots" So either they faked these numbers or they have a working version in testing

From the way it sounds, they have beta version of rosbot working, but the dev's are worried about other trap mechanics and want to sort those out before releasing. On the other hand, demonbuddy seems to be making an announcement within a couple days of this posting, so nothing we can do but wait.

Just code your own pixel bot for Diablo III yes it will be limited compared to Ros-Bot or DemonBuddy but its something in the meantime.
If you cant code use one of the plenty of AutoHotkey scripts and "borrow" logic or get Chimpeon to do your basic Diablo III rotation.

That's funny, what's the loss of blz for losing botters? CD-Key is one-time purchase and botters dont buy coins. Losing botters is just saving server resources.

AND bots may be just GONE for now, but not dead. Jailbreakers of iOS had dealt with situations much worse than this, so it's not impossible. But it is difficult and complicate. You said yourself it takes time.

Bossland gave up Demonbuddy because DB is the main target this time. Blz hated bossland so much. If demonbuddy came up with a usable version now, blz would definitely try other ways to stop it in the next few weeks. It's a waste of time to put effort into crack the new security measures right now for bossland.

for how long have you been botting in multiplayer games? i cant remember even one comparable situation where the bot devs just quit and the game was free of bots...

I used a dupehack and made SoJs in the original Diablo. I used scripts in Everquest. I used ViperBot in LOTRO. I used Macrogoblin flight bot and made millions of creds in SWTOR and sold them. I botted with WoWGlider and got banned with everyone else. In fact, my entire guild got banned, all 50 of us. I used HonorBuddy with ISBoxer to multibox instances and sold gold. I used Reborn Buddy and ISBoxer to play FFXIV and sold currency. I used DemonBuddy and sold accounts. I used GW2Minion but never sold anything because I don't need the money anymore. I would say I have botted for long enough to know when botting community is on the ropes. There will be plenty of smaller less effective bots to use, but the money is gone out of D3 and so are the more powerful and easy to use bots. What's next?
