    Swap Cloak Texture

    TLR
-How to swap cloak textures with other cloaks?
-"Drape of the Refreshing Winds" to "Cloak of Unforgivable Sin"

Is it possible to swap the texture of cloaks with other cloaks? the cloak i need has a horde & alliance version (Drape of the Refreshing Winds). Horde version is red/gold, alliance version is blue/silver. I need the horde version on my alliance mage. but id rather not just swap the 2 textures, because then everyone else would see me with the blue/silver version that doesnt match my red/gold armor set. Specifically im looking to swap the "Drape of the Refreshing Winds" with "Cloak of Unforgivable Sin". (so that way it still looks reasonable to other players).

PS: would i get banned for this? or is this so small its hard for blizz to catch?

It is easy to swap cloak textures. Open Item.dbc and search for the Id of the cloak. Then copy the Model Id which is column 5 in patch 3.3.5, and search for it in ItemDisplayInfo.dbc. You will see the name of the texture file there. For "Drape of the Refreshing Winds" it is "cape_robe_sunwell_d_01". Do the same for the other cloak and then extract these BLP files from common-2.mpq (Item\ObjectComponents\CAPE) and simply swap their names.

Here is a patch for 3.3.5 that swaps "Drape of the Refreshing Winds" (47417) with "Cloak of Unforgivable Sin" (34241).
