Banwave???

I was just thinking, will they be doing a banwave for model editors? I mean it was one thing just changing the way your character looks and his / her armor, but now-a-days its changing rapidly to terrain hacking, BG hacking and other hacking forms.

At this point im afraid to use my Belf - Undead model edit (<3 undead), and was just wondering, if anyone else but me thinks that blizz will start to hit model editors hard pretty soon?

Can anyone tell me how they nurfed it? Also if they nerfed it, how come theres still BG hacks and stuff being posted? And if people can still use these things, how come you guys are so sure they wont do anything?

Its being nerfed in the next patch aka 2.3 - world building gets doomed.

Blizzard has TOTALLY DISABLED loading of arbitrary MPQs, that means, if you put a patch-x.mpq or w.e in your data folder it WILL NOT get loaded, period. So WoW won't even crash because of an invalid file, it will just ignore the MPQ that shouldn't be there. This spells bad news because without the MPQ data being loaded, a fix to patch the sig check isn't going to work.

From what im seeing, the above will apply to all model editing, not just world / terrain editing. Is that true?

Im sorry to keep this thread going, but im just not understanding, will model editing, not world editing or anything like that, just swapping armor and changing races and stuff, still be done and released to the public? .

Back on topic: No I don't think there will be a "banwave", so go play - Blizzard fixed model editing hardly and the author of the new fix want to keep it as underground as posible

Model Editing can also be used for "world building".. So yea ANY KIND of ME'ing will be nurfed, armor, weapon, mount, race and so on.. Unless you edit your itemcache.wdb
