Model Swaping in 1.12.1

Hello fellow Owners.

I'm playing on a private server that runs WoW 1.12.1 and I want to swap out the Troll male model for the Night elf male model. I've been trying to do this on my own by following guides for different patches of WoW, but it all looks very different than 1.12.1 does. Therefore, I have 2 questions:

1. Is there a guide showing how to perform this swap in 1.12.1? If not, I would very much appretiate any help on this matter.

2. Is it possible to only swap out the model of only my character and not all other trolls? I have nothing against others being Trolls, I just want mine to be a night elf.

Alright so I figured out that I need replace the troll .blp files from the texture.MPQ with the night elf ones, and the troll .m2 files from the model.MPQ with the night elf ones.

So far, the textures are working fine, I managed to replace the troll textures with the night elf ones. Unfortunately, the troll model still remains. Any thoughts?
