    Taliis adding doodads, problem :(

Hello. For some reason, once I opened the adt I want to add an object to, click doodad files, and write the (correct) tree path of the m2 (which I change to .mdx) I press the green + and its there. But when I go to Appearing Doodads, and press the +, Nothing happens. No doodads show up in there, When they are in the doodad files. Same problems with the Object files (wmos) and the Appearing objects (wmos). Will rep for a quick and helpful answer. I did check the treepath btw. Thanks

When you are in appearing doodads you see that green plus button? Yea thought so well press it and it will create a new line.
In the column where it says 'File ID' you put the ID of the doodad that you added in your area in this case as you can see the doodads ID was 0.
When you've done that save your .adt file and your good to go
    Hope this helped,

It got added it just doesn't show up in the same sec.
To see your new line immedantly switch to another tab in navigation e.g. shadows , areaids or whatever and then back to appearing doodads. Voila your line is there.
It is always there so you can just save it after clicking the +,its just a simple view bug

Try to use the Cryetic Tools FileInfo and LoadFile instead of the Taliis doodads functions.

These tools works in this way:

"FileInfo mapname.adt" creates an txt file called mapname.txt, wich contains all the info of the wmo and doodads in the map.

Modify the txt file by adding, modifyng or removing doodads and wmos. You can change all the info of the object from the ID to the position or even the size of the doodad.

After you finish of modifyng the txt, use "Loadinfo mapname.adt" to reload all the object info into the map. You will be able to see then this information in taliis or noggit.

For how to properly modify the txt file, i suggest you to search in this forum the guides of how to insert objects into an map. The Cryetic tools can also be found in this forum.

    Regards and good luck.
