[Question] Model Swapping- Tauren Cat Form/ Model Editting

Okay so I just started this whole model editting and swapping thing and this will be my first model swap. I use My Warcraft Studio, btw and I'm using the guide found here:

Anywho! I would like to swap the tauren cat form to one of the other cat skins, let's just say the black gem model for an example, but I don't know which MPQ archive to use and if there's anything else I need to know about this.

I opened the common-2.mpq because the regular common.mpq didn't have the .m2 file for tauren cat form. And so then, after I copied the treepath to a notepad, I went down to the tiger folder and extracted that, changed the name so it was just like the original form, then added it to a new mpq archive like I saw in a tutorial and it didn't work.

What am I doing wrong?



Also, one more question. Is Adobe Photoshop CS4 a good program to edit models in or what should I be using?

Photoshop is not a 3D program, you can't edit models in it. You can edit textures though, and for that purpose it's excellent.
