There unfortunatly aren't any way of modifying it since Cataclysm arrived, as it's now based on animations and most probably built-in to the client.

Yeah, I don't think the older methods work with Cataclysm or MoP. I sure wish the login screen looked like this though. Looks a lot more nicer than the one out right now.
