    [Model Swap] Alpha Worgen Female

Do you remember the original female worgen model that Blizzard previewed back in Cata alpha?

I found these files were actually included in the current WoW files, in art.mpq. A few swaps later and I made a patch that replaces the current female worgen with this original model.

This version "fixes" a lot of current perceived problems with the current worgen faces. It looks like a wolf instead of a cracked-out chihuahua. It also has more interesting hairstlyes. I could not find the equivalent model for the male worgen, unfortunately.

Two things though: certain face textures do not line up with this model (the DK-specific faces). There is also only one hair color available, red. All animations should work, although the Running Wild animation for this model is simply the normal run animation.

    Download
    worgenfemale-alpha.mpq

Requires VX2's Sig MD5 protection remover or something similar.

Next step is to import the first alpha version of Cataclysm for 4.X client (been there, tried that).

Good job, alpha models are always fun (for a while), +Rep

Wow, really a good work, hope you solve the few problems you metion (hair colors). For the "alpha" male, you will need to get one of the Beta clients :S

Sad that i cant use them on the official servers with my female worgen warrior without risk of being banned

    Really, I wouldn't called a % less than 1% of getting banned a risk

Uhm, maybe im not very well informed about those things :P

but still... there we have Murphy's laws right? xD

I think im most worried because the MPQs must be "unlocked" (i mean, remove the security or whatever they have to be able to modify them) and if this is checked by Warden or any other tool the game has (i suppose there is any thread about this all?). Anyways, thx to telling me that its not that dangerous than i expected it was

P.D.: sorry if my english is not the best ^^"

Remember ... check if the model has hardcoded textures ... if that is the case ... solve the problem

    Fixed model ...

Well the worgen model is only in Cata and since 3.3.5 is only Wrath i dont believe this will work. Dont hold it against me though.

Soluhe, can you tell me if the model has the problems that WMV shows with helms and shoulders when you "look" this model? (shoulders looks a bit "missplaced" from body, and helms, well, many of them doesnt work). BTW thx for the fix, i think ill finally try it with my "abandoned" worgen warrior

Rename it to wow-update-14000.MPQ and make sure it is in you World of Warcraft/Data folder.

Make sure you are using VXs protection remover.
