    Re: patch

wait for someone to come out with a new model change hack. The hex offset changes each patch, so each patch you will need a new one. The previous one is using and modifying an outdated offset, so it will need to be reviewed and altered before it can be used.

    Re: patch

I quickly compiled a new version for the model change application in MVS for anyone in need of an update.

    http://rapidshare.com/files/19768733/MC_2.0.10.zip.html

The application also enables the client's console (~).

    Re: patch

thanks Phraise but the problem persists. The 2.10 patch itself cannot be applied due to the error, and running the repair utility does not fix the problem as well. Furthermore, I have attempted using both MC2.08 and 2.10 in the /WOW directory and I am still unable to apply the new patch and get the same error: The patch "signaturefile" could not be applied. (CRC mismatch: expected 0x65032006, actual 0xce2292e2.) If this problem persists, you may be able to solve it by uninstalling and then reinstalling the game. If you are unable to correct this problem, please contact Blizzard Technical Support. (BNUpdate::PTCApply)

    Re: patch

You added files to patch-2.mpq. Christ that's stupid.

Run the repair tool. All will be well after that, but really.. Don't ever do that again.

This is only an assumption, but if the patch cannot be applied because the signature file could not be appended, try moving the MPQ files that consist of model changes out of your Data folder before applying the patch, and place them back into the Data folder after the patch is successful. The 2.0.10 application should not be used until after the patch has been applied.

    Re: patch

The error still persists, and even earlier I had no changed model files in the /DATA folder or any other folder. I have no edited .mpq's or anything else period, just the modelchange.exe that I used once and since then WoW seems to not update or run on itself, and was entirely dependent on the modelchange.exe to be able to run. Since the new patch, I still cannot apply the update, even with no modelchange.exe in the /Worldofwarcraft directory. And no, I don't keep the modelchange2010 in there either.

Any further suggestions I am just really not wanting to have to reinstall WoW, then TBC, and then ****ing patches =(

Any help would be greatly appreciated, even considering that there are multiple other people going through the same problem on here and khadgar forums.

ALSO: Any idea on why WoW is not able to apply the new patch, even with AND without the MC2.08 ???

IDK why but it seems to have corrupted or changed a file, namely "signaturefile". Error as follows------------------: The patch "signaturefile" could not be applied. (CRC mismatch: expected 0x65032006, actual 0xce2292e2.) If this problem persists, you may be able to solve it by uninstalling and then reinstalling the game.
