FREE Character Name Changes without server change

Ever gotten sick of a characters name but didnt want to pay $10 to change it?
Well i have a solution!

1. Simply delete the character whos name you want changed (Dont worry this is not permanent!)
2. Create a character on that server with the same name as the one you deleted. (This may require a different account to do. otherwise they might be able to tell your tricking them)
3. Go on any alt besides the one you just created and open a ticket asking to get the deleted character restored.
4. When they restore the character, it will be asked for a name change!

Have fun with this! My friend used this method right after patch 2.3 soo if it dosent work, then you prolly had a smart GM

u can restore items also but not gold .. and anyway about this post:it is unlikely to work becouse when u ask for a char restore they go into serious bussines checking logs and shit so... GL.

Also, this doesn't always work. I tried it about a year ago (Creating a character with the name I wanted on a different account) and the GM simply changed the level 1 to "Namexyz".

Did you even log onto the character you guys made? Or did you just make the character and log back onto your mains account

tip to this is to do like me, when i tried delete lvl 3 huter my lvl 70 warr disepeard and i just opend a ticket and day after i got back my char, so say that it did bug like this and your storry is worth to belive

btw, its not 100% that you can take another name, sometimes GM to it for ya

Not only that, sometimes they'll just change the name of the charater you deleted slightly by one letter or word.

I dont know about everyone else, but I'd wouldnt want to take the risk of not having your character restored.
