[Guide] Making WoW run faster

Oddly, this worked for me; and it seems to have worked for others:
WoW-Europe.com Forums -> Performance BOOST ! check THIS out !

1) Open WoW
(title screen, not launcher)

2) Close WoW

3) Open Windows Media Player
(do not play any music)

4) Open WoW (Fullscreen [not window /maximize] mode)

I'll rep you for this; I've seen it before but this is the first time I bothered to try it...
It seems to only work if you're running WoW full screen, so you might add that to your original post.

That's it, it got me a 15 FPS increase and a 25 decrease in latency (originally 50).

No idea, but it works lol. I am guessing that windows does something to give priority to the windows native application, but this benefit applies to most open applications, I noticed this boost with LOTRO, Eve Online, and oddly Team Fortress 2.

Remember, don't play any music, that will slow you down; but please like stated, if this helps +rep, I want to get rid of the leecher tag

Also this wont work on vista. Why?
