So you thought you were safe from Keyloggers . GUESS AGAIN !!!

In this post i would like to show you exactly what keyloggers can do and how to block them .

First lets see what they can do :

1) Can be absolutely invisible, including invisibility for firewall
2) Visual surveillance (screenshots) (like user name screenshots)
3) Captures screen information on every mouse click
4) Logs texts typed in every application (like passwords)
5) Captures of the passwords behind the asterisks
6) Captures of the button clicks
7) Websites logging
AOL/ICQ/AIM/Yahoo chat logging
9) Online activity filtering
10) Advanced keyword detection and notification
11) Clipboard logging
12) Sending log and screenshots by e-mail in the hidden mode
13) Stealth uploading logs by FTP (it uploads by using internet explorer)
14) Remote installation / update / uninstallation (can be bundled with any .exe)
15) Log file is encrypted and can be protected with a password
16) Monitoring all users of the PC, even if you don't know their passwords
17) Easy log viewing and management
1 Export log to HTML format
19) Possibility to specify target applications (like target WoW)

Now lets see what we can do to stop them :

1) Allways scan downloaded WoW related files using www.virustotal.com and or http://virusscan.jotti.org .
2) Download the free version of Processguard from http://www.diamondcs.com.au/processg...?page=download (it will allow you to see whatever program which might be running in the backround) .
3) If you just installed a new WoW related program and that program is trying to access the internet , it is often likely that it might be a keylogger , so i strongly suggest blocking the access to the internet for that program by using processguard to do so .

If you follow all these steps then you will be able to stop at least 90 % of all the WoW related keyloggers .

I hope this guide will help save a few accounts , as there are a huge amount of WoW related keyloggers floating arround at the moment 6):

This is blizzards way to protect its customers from getting hacked by keyloggs . All i want to say is lol , learn a little more about keylogs Blizz !!!

my dad owns a company in the department of defence i have the number one state of the art top defense virus/keylogger/spywear/etc. detect system it cost 4k dollars and has quick scan for 1 min and internal scan were it scans for 13 hours im completely safe from them so hah!!!!!

what do you want, a cookie? And I doubt your dad owns a company in the DoD, he probably has a contract WITH the DoD and as such subject to there rules and regulations governing information security over the internet. I too work for the DoD, hence my damn proxy here is blocking almost everything from me. I can still come here and post , but I can't go to world of warcraft home site or any other website that deals with games/gaming.
