Make good gold on a new realm

When starting over on a new realm the hardest thing it seem is to make enough gold to keep up with all the things you have to buy. This guild may not help those that have serveral year of exp, but for those that have only been playing a few months it may save you a lot of time and energy.

Simple Steps:

1.) Level up to at least level 5. Go to a main city and say in trade that you bought something by mistake and it cost you all of your money. (5-10s). Ask if anyone would be kind enough to help you out, seeing as this is a new character for you. Usually 1-3 people will mail you the money you said you lost or more. I made 10g the last time I did this.

2.) Accept enchanting as a proff.

3.) Go to the AH and buy as many greens as you can (15s or less each). Make a search for uncommon max level 10; this will limit your search to what you really want.

4.) You should have a few items now to disenchant. After tha is done you auction the materials off on the AH, usually with a buyout of 20-30s each. You repeat this process for a few days and you will be able to buy w/e you want.

Note: This may not work on all realms so check the AH a head of time to see how much the beginning enchanting mats go for. For best results try a server with a lot of 70's on it. My most successful attempt at this was (3 days) I leveled my hunter to 20 and he has 40g. Most time you will not have such good results, but its better than doing nothing.

I hope this guide has helped a few people out, and yes I know topics like this have been posted before so don't flame. If you don't like it then keep your comments to yourself lol.

Advanced:

1.) If you are looking for a more permenant way to make gold on the AH do a google search of "Auctioneer" it is a 3rd party addon that helps a lot of players out. It has many useful function but can be very time consuming so I suggest only using it after level 58 when you really start making money.

2.) If you want to make more money farming do a google search of "Cosmos" it is a bundle of about 20 addons that really improve game play. This is a must have for all players.

It is semi-rude to ask for reputation, but +Rep for the good post. Also, finding something easy to get that sells for alot helps. I have seen realms where Greater Planar essences sell for 8 to 15 gold on bad days (eg, right after arena season 3 came out when everyone was horny for enchants on their gear). Most realms have it at 3 to 5 gold on bad days. That's lucky, but you get my drift. It never hurts to do a quick scan of the AH when you get to the main city. Things to look for are the three main trade goods: herbs, ore, and essences. Anything you can get in tandem while leveling up is clutch. If peacebloom is selling for 30 s a stack (its usually 5 to 20) take up herbalism. You get the idea. ad infinitum.
