[Guide] You and the new Alterac Valley system.

Hello everybody!

I've been here sometime and found awesome guides, so now its my turn to contribute for you.

So what im gonna help you with the new AV system (since it's AV weekend now) to help your team more and therefor get more honor!

Writing this guide, i assume the ones who reads this wants as much honor as possible for the smallest amount of time possible.

Also, this is alliance only tactics.

1. Meet the new Alterac Valley system

This new system means less honor for losers, and even for winners (or sometimes more) compared to the old system.

So, with this new system both teams starts off with 600 Reinforcements, which is not like the resources in Arathi Basin or Eye Of the Storm.

These 600 reinforcements goes down as your enemies takes your towers and kill Galvangar / Belinda and some other stuff not worth mentioning.

When your team has lost all of the 600 resources, your team also lose. Killing Drek'thar or Vanndar Stormpike will make your team lose, but you miss the bonus honor gained from taring down the other teams reinforcements!

So practically having 600 reinforcements is good, and having 0 is bad.

2. What to do and not to do with the new system

As i said, this guide is for the alliance, and ill tell you what to do to win as alliance in Alterac valley, following this guide as a horde player will make all of your green skinned friends to laugh at you, and we dont want that.

For those attacking (yes defending is needed with the new AV system):

First of all, DO NOT RUSH TO GALVANGAR FIRST!
YES, there will be people doing this.
YES, these are the people who makes your team lose.

The thing you want to do is rush Iceblood graveyard, and tell your teammates this since there are alot of people just not knowing what to do.



After taken Iceblood graveyard, you want a couple of players defending it from the horde taking it.

And another small group of people needs to capture Iceblood tower and defend it. Remember to kill the guards on the tower after capping the tower, since it takes 4:03 minutes to take a tower you have plenty time to kill them while waiting for the tower to be captured.

Now you want to kill Galvangar, though it will be horde there trying to defend him as good as possible. Kill those and get ready to nuke Galvangar before more hordes come to help.

When you have done those things, the rest is really easy.
Just run down to Tower Point and get it, while others run down to Frostwolf graveyard and capture it.

Meanwhile, some people should run up to the frostwolf village and capture both towers in there. This really breaks down the hordes reinforcements!

All through this time, you should have people defending both Belinda, Stonehearth bunker and Stonehearth graveyard. Once the horde breaks through those positions, its no point of defending more - just run down to frostwolf and help your allies!

3. Tips and tricks

So ill teach you my tips and tricks here.

A very important thing is to get Deadly boss mods
It gives you great timers for capturing stuff, which can be very helpful if you are thinking about to run and help somewhere, or if its to late.

Another thing is to talk to your teammates, report what is going on and tell them what to do!

And NEVER give up too soon, sometimes miracles happened with putting no big effort into it! I've myself seen turns with 40 vs 300 resources several times so dont give up, you will maybe lose 300-400 honor on that!

Maybe it's just my bad luck, but it took me 43 (!!) AVs to get my Spear [53 ally war] cuz every1 likes to nuke Galv.

Just remember to talk to ur Wing Commander so he runs back, makes turtles go a bit smother when you can turn in rep items
