[TIPS]Glider tips, a newbie to another.

First off, I'm sure this information have been posted over and over again, it's mostly common sense, I would just like to share some information that helped me greatly about one month ago, when I started using Glider.

1. Stop using the public profiles. I used them for about 20 levels, that's when I realised it's actually VERY easy to create your own, especially after the Profile Wizard was added. When you create your own, you can choose exactly what mobs you want to farm and it reduces the chance of getting banned, especially if you are using high rated profiles from known sites.

2. Select secluded areas for your profile, grind in places where no people go, if you want to grind in public areas learn to create group profiles, it's not hard at all, and you will feel much safer when using a group profile. It basically let's you merge some profile. You can set it to change profiles if people follow you or if they are just in the area, and you can set it to change if you die or when you level, you can even make it fly to an entierly different area.

3. People go on and on about auto-whisper replies, this can be good, although the two months I've used glider I have never needed it, and I have many friends, they'll just think you are afk. If they ask why I didn't answer, I usually tell them my brother was playing and that I told him he couldn't talk with anyone. It can be dangerous if someone in your area whispers you, and sees you running around and is not responding, I never had any problem with that though, I just chose areas that were out of the open and LOW populated. And the usual 'Wanna come for this/that' whispers, if you just ignore them, they'll think you are AFK and won't whisper you again. What you want to watch out for is active guilds, that can be dangerous, so just wait with joining a guild until you are more active then you glide.

4. Look over your settings, don't use the original key settings and not too many ressurections, about 4-5 should be fine. Also if you kill beasts skinning can be a good cover-up to hide that you have farmed for a long time. Also try going for instances from time to time, full greens are always strange, especially in the higher levels. Don't go for too long Glider streaks, keep it down to max 6 hours or alike. I usually grind over night and when I'm not home during the day, that's when you'll need the secluded group profiles most of all.

5. For everyone considering buying glider, I say, go for it. It has really been a win for me. Ever since I got it I have got out more with friends, my grades have gone up, call me silly, but that's how it is. And as long as you are cautious and learn using it one step at a time it should be quite safe.

Love the guide, even though similiar ones have already been posted, atleast your contributing! This has really made me think about using the public profiles all the time. Im going to make my own profiles, but in the same areas as the public ones. Unless you can gimme an idea of where to glide and at what level.

Kk, atm im 28 lock, jus finished a public glide in darkshire. Jus looking for some tips on which areas to go and where abouts on the map. Thanks =)

Ah, lock. Should be easy finding something good. I'm more used to Horde sadly. But I guess in two levels you can make a profile in STV, there are a lot of areas there that is very LOW populated. Also a hot tip is Desolace, I have leveled five levels there without actually seeing anyone. I'd say, go public until 30, and then make your own STV/Desolace Profiles and continue from there!
