Edit: This seems to have gotten hotfixed. It now gives around 1k Shards per Hour, but I think it is still the fastest method, it just takes longer in general now.
Hey I'll show you what you get on the best current Nethershards farm:
First of all here is my recommondation on the group composition:
If high ilvl players:
1 Tank
4 dds (range pref)
If low ilvl players:
1 Tank
1 Heal
3 dds (range pref)
It is easier with a heal, but faster with one additional dd.
It is also recommended to do this on a low pop server, due to the tagging problem.
If other people are around it is all about tagging first. Since 7.2 only 5 people can max. tag the same target
Basically what you do is go here WoWScrnShot_032917_195506.jpg and stand where I put the mark WoWScrnShot_032917_195451.jpg and let your tank keep aggro on the adds.
The range dds can walk around and pull the adds to the middle WoWScrnShot_032917_200200.jpg
It is not really worth it trying these mobs to get to you tho,(screen) because they have already aggro of the npcs. WoWScrnShot_032917_200146.jpg
You can still pull these who dont have aggro from them yet. WoWScrnShot_032917_200340.jpg
First ten minutes:
Nethershards: 674
330g 57s 67c
12x Shal'dorei Silk
1x Chestplate Token
1x Shoulder Token
1x Netherchunk
Leatherworking:
78x Stonehide Leather
8x Unbroken Claw
8x Unbroken Tooth
1x Blood of Sargeras
Which would be more than 4k Nethershards per hour.
