[Minor] Herbalism Perfection!
Hello there guys!
So it's pretty common knowledge that herbalists and alchemists are rapidly becoming the richest badasses in the World of Warcraft since herbs, flasks and potions are so expensive one might grow suspicious if those herbs are legal or not.
You might want to level a toon just in order to be able to provide yourself with herbs, pots, flasks and GOLD. A lot of gold.
So if you're undecided which class/race to pick, here's an advice you're gonna thank me for.
Blood DKs are BIS for farming herbs.
It assumes you've got a Sky Golem to ride around (since no herbalist is a true hardcore herbalist without this mount).
So the reasons are:
1. You move at 220% speed while mounted (240% speed if you have the Broken Isles Pathfinder achievement unlocked, which most should have by now).
2. You've got Path of Frost which allows you to walk on water while mounted.
3. This is something not everyone knows about: tanks CANNOT BE DAZED so no one's gonna dismount you!
Race doesn't matter, you could have thought that Tauren would work the best due to Cultivation racial ability but it's easily replaced with a Legion Herbalism enchant which is dirt cheap.
Paladins are also good but DKs are better because Path of Frost baby.
Q: But druids will be just as good when they introduce flying, right?
A: No, they will still fly 20% slower.
While everything I said might be quite obvious, there's still a chance someone would appreciate my advice.
Thanks for reading, enjoy farming!

So you tell me that moving with +20% speed (not actual 20%, because its 220% and not just 20%) is faster than having the ability to loot every herb without dismounting?
If you farm for 1 hour and herb 200 herb nodes, you have to cast mount 200 times, aka 300 seconds wasted aka 5 minutes difference.
Now you have to keep in mind, that you sometimes aggro mobs, sometimes you get dismounted, sometimes you have to kill the mob to get out of combat.
NOT AS DRUID. NOT WHILE FLYING. But as a DK you have to do that. Druid also usually have shadowmeld. DK's dont.
So as long as your evidence is a one-line of Q/A - i am sorry. Druid is still better.
On the last im trying to give my opinion on your points:
regarding:
1. i already did
2. path of frost is true, but you don't farm herbs while swimming. maybe when youre mining, but if you're mining, you'll have to dive, where druid is still faster than dk.
3. druids can be tanks too XD

Read my whole post again and be extremely careful when reading line #7.
If you pay enough attention, you should be able to notice that I said: "It assumes you've got a Sky Golem to ride around".
And you can collect herbs without having to dismount if you use the Sky Golem as a mount.
Your whole point is destroyed, mate.
Also... yes, you obviously aggro mobs along the way. But as a druid in travel form you get slowed down to, what, 140% speed upon entering combat? I don't remember the exact numbers, but you get slowed down for sure. While as a DK riding a sky golem you don't give a damn and run at 240%.
I corrected my post to make the sky golem part more obvious.

Guide!
Step 1: create a blood DK to farm herbs more efficiently.

20% slower. Simple as that.

Dont forget the Darkmoon Firewater that you can buy from the AH that increases the gathering speed from 1.5 seconds to .5 second.

You can also use the Demonsteel Stirrups(crafted with Blacksmithing) so you don't have to dismount to loot the herbs, and maybe Mining too(not sure), atleast if you don't already have the Sky Golem mount.

DK is no faster than Druid. Druids have access to a class hall upgrade that allows growing plants in their class hall, and can grow an item that increases mounted speed by 20% for 1 hour.
So no, they will not be slower than a DK.

I have had Herbing on my DK for years, and the only troublesome thing IMO is that DKs aggro everything, I cannot get any further away from mobs for them not to start attacking me, and escape unscathed, if I do then I cannot get the animation to click the herb while mounted. so no this is just the same with any other class/ race.

I honestly can not bother to argue anymore at this point.
You keep refusing the usefulness of Path of Frost, you still have to spend quite some time and gold in order to find yourself those consumables which allow you to move faster / not get dazed etc.
You'll never know 'till you try.
Sorry for wasting your time by making you read this thread.
