G'Nathus Farm Guide [Hunter/Warlock]

Hello all! First time posting a guide here. I've searched the site and found nothing similar to this so I felt I should share this guide!

Before you read any further, know that it is possible to kill G'Nathus with any class, however Warlocks and Hunters are ideal for farming him

This is a guide for killing and making money off of G'nathus - NPC - World of Warcraft

Facts You Need to Know

• G'Nathus has 43.6 Million HP

• Respawn time ranges from 10-20 minutes

• Drops Spawn of G'nathus - Item - World of Warcraft

• The battle pet has prices ranging 1000g - 10,000g depending on server (Source: https://theunderminejournal.com/batt...o&species=1201, scroll down to the chart)

• He casts 2 spells Lightning Breath - Spell - World of Warcraft and Arc Nova - Spell - World of Warcraft both of which hit fairly hard.

Strategy to Kill

For Warlocks and Hunters - glyph appropriately for a fair amount of pet damage
Get to this location:

After engaging G'Nathus, position your pet like so:


This positioning is great because his Lightning Breath should miss you. When he casts arc nova your pet will barely move, getting knocked back onto the cliff and simply going right back to where it was previously. From your position to the side all you have to do is nuke down the boss.

The amount of time it will take is dependent on your DPS.

For Melee Classes

My best advice would be to group up with 5 other players (cross-realm farming can be extremely effective, no waiting for spawn times) as G'Nathus can tank n' spanked with a competent healer/tank.
