How long does it take to get from the entrance to the two chests near the ledge?

If it's under 15 seconds, then would it be possible for someone to use Thottbot World of Warcraft: Invisibility Potion , run to the edge, agro the mobs without dying to the two guards up there (sacrafice void for locks, ice barrier/mana shield for mages, power word: shield for priests, etc) while they run up the stairs, jump down onto the ledge, and bug yourself out of combat.

I know it's a long stretch, but would it be possible?

i thought about this idea - there is a few things that stand on your way - 1st there are alot of mobs to clear - i havent seen anyone who can solo robot in the beginning.... and after u pull mobs u get in combat... u cant open chests in combat =( . dont think any other class but rogue can do this

The mobs won't "Run back to there spawns" as they do if you actualy leave combat through a spell or something.

Evaded mobs simply evade, and will eventually teleport up to you, or teleport immediatly back to there spawn, usually up to you.

Edit: Or they run back to their spawn at super speed.

A good affliction warlock could MAYBE drain tank the robot at the beginning, a Soul Link warlock could do it for sure (voidwalker + soul link + armor = 50% damage reduction, almost)..

but that's not the point. I'm pondering whether it's possible to use these pots to just invis past all of the trash.

Also, there's a bug for the two ledges that allow you to get out of combat. When you jump off the ledge, jump behind the chest, on the edge. Eventually the mobs will bug and exit combat. Just spam open on the chest, and auto loot.
It works a lot like the old Acratraz bug.

I know it's possible to loot without killing/vanishing, as I have done it before... was in a PuG where the group got to the ledge with the chest, tank got pissed and left, priest shielded me, I agro'd, jumped down, got removed from combat, and looted.

dont think this is gonna work realy well since most chests are locked and u have to get engineerin for the lockpicks if u aint a rogue. But on the other side it would be doable to get to the chests i gues

well i tried it. used invisibility and went past guards then aggroed jumped down but mobs werent moving for like 15 sec. and then bam they all teleported to me and gg

Then you didn't do it right, because they do not teleport. A PuG I was in cleared up to that spot and I jumped down and got it when the group broke up.
