Leveling from 85 to 90 on Timeless Isle - 10-25M xp per hour - solo

Is this a joke? You can kill packs of 10 of them in like 10 seconds assuming you're playing the right spec of your class. Not sure why questing is better what so ever.

Mobtagging / grouping up with a friend who also want to level (or a 90 friend). Slower xp, but more doable.

Do dunegons first to get some gear / buy top notch gear from the ah / make gear, every bit counts, especially the weapon. The heirloom weapons available through archaeology and treasures are nice here. Focus on getting high output to kill them fast so you can heal when they are dead. A way to get the swarmers stacked more nicely is to attack one and run a little away. That way they will follow you and close in on each other.

Enchants, flasks and the buffs that are specific to the isle are also very good; book of the ages, dew of the eternal morning and singing crystal. they stack, so don't be afraid to use them.

A good addition to this post is that the little turtles on the coast give good XP, are quite easy to manage and are surrounded by Sand-Covered Eggs on the ground. The eggs can be clicked in addition to almost any spell casting and are instantly effective in restoring about 60k health. As a level 88 protection warrior I was able to take on ~6 of these suckers at once without using too many eggs. A class with more self healing would be spoiled here, but it was perfect for me in between Victory Rush and the Egg's "Timeless Nutrient", I could manage my health and down them quickly.

You can see in the picture, just how quick the spot is. I farmed 88-90 in 8 hours and gained 2000 coins from the turtles, If I was a skinner the corpses of larger turtles left behind by other players would net quite a bit of leather, and I also caught the rare turtle Furyshell spawning twice and got a hit in, scoring me two pieces of Timeless Plate armor.

I was able to do this easily as a lvl 85 hunter, laying down traps and then just kiting and using mainly multi shot - gave really great xp i pulled a whole group of worms everytime. Thanks for sharing

+rep for this. ALSO! another tip you sometimes get crystals or morning dew or a book that either sometimes hits for 100k increases a useful stat by 8000 or randomly heals you for 60000 use these and it is so easy. I leveled my prot pally from 85-90 in 7 hours easily.

I didnt manage this with my 88 Demo Warlock. Pet died nearly instantly, taking huge amount of damage, and when I got close the killed me nearly as fast as I tried to AoE them down. Tips?

How toget the food from a lvl 85-89 char? the small creatures dont drop them :/
