How to find item, weapon, and armor ids from model viewer
Sorry if this has been posted before but i searched model viewer, item ids and didnt find any guide on this, but this is how you do it:
1) open up model viewer and find a model you like and the skin
2)download the itemdisplay.cvs files here:
http://www.wowmodelviewer.org/index....3.0;attach=203
http://www.wowmodelviewer.org/index....3.0;attach=204
or if you want to get your own theres a guide at the bottom
3) now on the bottom on model viewer copy the name in the list of skin names and search for it in the cvs
4) once you find it make sure the name before it is the one that is highlighted on the left in the list
5) now once you found it the first number in the row is the name of the model id(it may be in the row above depending on the size of the info)
if you want to get the cvs file but dont want to download them or they arent up to date u can follow these steps:
1)u'll need need a dbc converter, you can download one here:Dbcutil - WoWDev or just search it for dbc converter and mangos or antrix dbc
2) drag and drop itemdisplayinfo.dbc, and both the creaturemodeldata.dbc into the converter and there you have your own cvs files.
If you want to find model ids by its in game name follow this guide:
1) open up the model viewer folder(usually in the my program folder for windows users) and open up item.cvs or npcs.cvs depending on what you want to find
2) use the search tool to find the row with your model and and the second number in the row is the model id
tell me if i missed anything ,the guides to confusing, or if this has been posted before. please dont flame just tell me wat i did wrong if you dont like it
also this thread has lots of info on these types of files:
WoW Model Viewer
so you can use these to morph into anything, use them for skins for custom items, u could use .relod 147 <id> to use them as a mount or anything you want to do with them
