Make Gold by Giving Away Gifts in YOUR Guild

THE GUILD
•You'll need a high level guild - 20+ level. The reason for that is because many people will join only because of the guild perks.
•The name should be attractive, so that the members don't be ashamed to have it under their name.
•You'll need AS MANY members as possible. Try to invite higher level people because they're the people with the gold.
•Kick members that have been inactive for over 2 weeks, and replace them with new members.

THE GAME
The rules of the game are the following:
•Once a week you're going to give away a PRIZE. The best prize I could think of is Reins of the Crimson Deathcharger. The reason for that is because people WILL want that mount because it's rare. On the other side, it's not so expensive. On my realm ( Stormscale-EU-Horde) I bought today 2 Deathchargers for 110k gold, and the AH price is 75k.
•The members of your guild will deposit gold in the guild bank in order to enter the game. Every deposit over 100g counts as a sign up.
•Keep track of how much every member has deposited over the week.
•At the end of the week, calculate how many members have deposited a total of over 100g, and the 20 members who have deposited the most gold enter the competition.
•Based on the gold that they've deposited over the week, you'll invite them in a raid group and make them make their last deposits and start the game.
•Based on the gold that they've deposited over the week, that would determine their maximum roll. The person of those 20 people with the highest roll wins the prize.
FOR EXAMPLE, if a member has deposited 7000 gold over the week he'll roll 1-7000. If another person has deposited 6200 gold over the week, he'll roll 1-6200.

OPTIONAL: You may add a last phase of the game. After the rolls are over, the competitors may add additional rolls to their roll. 1 roll is equal to 10g (or you decide). If they want to add 100 to their roll, they'll pay 1000g.

SPREAD AWARENESS
•Advertise your guild and its prizes over the Trade chat.
•Make an event in the calendar, and invite everybody so that everybody can notice it.
•Change the message of the guild connected to the prize of the week, and make people read the guild info.
•In the guild info place the rules of the game (of course you may change them the way you want to).
•Make a thread on your realm's WoW forum.

KEEP IN MIND
•It depends on the realm.
•You might want to give a 2-week period for your first prize, until people get used to it.
•If you don't have a guild, you can always buy one.
•If you can't afford Crimson Deathcharger, you'll most probably choose another prize. Choose your prize wisely, so that members of your guild express jealousy and find a reason to enter the competition.
•It's not a guaranteed profit.

As I said this may not be a sure profit. It depends on the server. On the other side, I'd like to make my gold in an entertaining way because I don't find farming mobs for hours fun in any way. Your life is full with decisions and opportunities you decide to take, but everything involves taking a risk. If you're happy with your current status in-game and here on Ownedcore, as a negative person who flames one of the first thread you've seen, then don't take any risks. This forum is for innovative people who share ideas. You can either say that an idea is a good one, or you can either suggest a way to be approved, but to talk negatively as a new member in the forum is no way to start off.

There's one thing that renders your whole scheme obsolete. Running a venture described in your post would inevitably be considered as gambling, which is straightforward against Blizzard's policies. Taking the amount of publicity and advertisement needed for its successful execution, you would inevitably draw Blizzard attention in one way or another.

Seeing your very emotional reply to jmulhern345help's criticism, I don't expect you to agree immediately. However, those who might be considering using this scheme should take that into account.

Actually a person reported me today that what I've been doing was the same as the Casino indeed. I though he was joking, and I was contacted by a GM. I had to explain him the guild game, and he said that it's NOT, I repeat NOT bannable, using the rules that I've provided. However, I didn't screenshot it. I've made a new GM ticket, and I'd post his response here when he responds .

I had a contributor a account named jmulhern345. It got banned because some ******* who let use it lost his Free Honorbuddy and from searching this forum it appears that he scammed some poor guy out of HB life Time
if you want a community that trusts you that takes a long time and getting friendly with everyone. This is a gold guide no? No one will throw gold into someones Gbank for a dumb reason like this.

This is a typical "casino alternative" idea. But u have build a community it seems. No one wants to build a damn community who clicks on your thread. are u dumb? It's Labeled as [GOLD]. have u ever succeeded in building a community like this? please. Give me info on your last success.

I can grind primal airs on a server that i choose from https://theunderminejournal.com/ and triple the amount of gold you will make with this in 1/3 of the time. I understand it isn't instant gratification i suppose. Still... does everyone have a 20+ guild layinig around. Level 25 guilds sell for 100USD. They must be easy to obtain blowing 75+ bucks irl for some casino alternative shit.


BTW. This is a form of gambling based on how you advertise it. And a GM decides to dig deeper into your idea... not that this will ever work, its a ban of the GM cares enough.

The idea itself isn't bad, and it is possible to execute. The problem though, is that I am a bit unsecure about how certain staff over at Blizzard will consider this. I did read your reply about being contacted by a GM, but still.. I've heard in several occasions that the outcome of what happens depends a lot on what kind of GM you meet. At first i thought the idea was fairly okay but when i read this guys post. Even though it's not written from an old and trustworthy member i think he is quite right, a GM might ban you for this even though you might tell them its something different. It's still gambling with WoW gold-

This forum is not about flaming. It's not about bashing ideas. It's about sharing them to see if any of them are viable. Your post reeks a bit too much of flame. Asking this guy if he's dumb is a pointless rhetorical exercise that will accomplish nothing.

Your contribution so far has been to farm primals. At best, that idea is a repost. At worst, it's a continued attempt at flaming.

OP, great idea. I think people are taking you too seriously on saying the death charger mount as the prize. Who says you can't start lower with something like a Sandstone drake at 50g to enter...Or a lovebird at 10g to enter... Here's an idea everyone, get out your dictionaries and read up on what "example" means. As for this pulling a ban or not, it COULD, but honestly, just about anything can pull a ban with how loosely termed Blizzards' ToS are. Considering the amount of stuff I've pulled off in-game, I really don't imagine this method pulling a ban unless you took the gold and ran without ever giving away your prize Probably helps to have it in the guild bank (Just make sure no one has permissions to remove it except for you). +rep to OP, I might try this later on a lower-scale next week.
