Hey guys :wave:

This is more or less a guide to buy accounts safely at eBay.com

Most of it will be common knowledge for you, but even if i can prevent one person from beeing scammed, its worth writing.

#1)

Read the small printed text! I know you want your account asap, but READ IT!

Most times there are details in it like:

-This Char is on a private Server
-To be able to play, your realmlist needs to be set to xxx.xxx.xxx (This is a private server aswell, obviously)
-Only the screenshot of this account is beeing sold here
-Only the guest key of this account is beeing sold here

If you tap into one of this tricks, ur money is gone. So BE CAREFUL!

#2)

Check WHAT EXACTLY you get!

Sometimes the seller writes into the small text things like:

-The buyer only gets the Accountname and Password
This is worth nothing, because he can change it every time he wants to.
Check if you get ALL the account data, and to be super sure just contact the seller via eBay Mail-System. The mails there are saved 60 days, this is your proof in case something happens!

Check what the seller sold in the past days/months/years!

If you see that he sold this account allready in the past days/weeks/months, you need to be suspicious! This happens REALLY often, so be careful!

If this is the case, LEAVE THIS ACCOUNT! There are other accounts that are the same or even better! STOP risking your money for nothing.

Even if he is Original Owner, there is still a risk. He has ALL the details to get the account back. So ask for an identitycard scan, and wait with the rating until you are really sure that you have not been scammed!

I followed mighty Gash's instructions but still i got scammed! WHAT TO DO??

There are plenty of guides here on MMOwned what to do in this case. Still, check what person it is. If its a small kid, just talk to him and say you talked to your lawyer and he gets bashed if he doesn't hand over the account.
You can also get his phone number via eBay and phone his home. Some time you will get his parents and your money will be faster there than you can think.

A 100% safe trade will sadly never exist tho

I think its best to transfer the char you bought to a new created account and merge it into a battle.net account. You only need the last name and the Secret Question + Answer for this.

you can sell and buy them on ebay. Its just a shorter period of time for them beeing available before they get deleted
