(the almost complete) DK Shopping List

If like me, you are main changing to a DK then now is the best time to get prepared. This thread will contain a number of things you can collect ahead of WOTLK release for your DK.

I have put together information from elsewhere to make this list (deathknight.info and some blogs I can't remember).

(please note there is a mailbox in the DK start zone, it's on the farm just below the Necropolis)

Any suggestions/improvements etc I will be happy to hear them.

Bag Slots

Every DK starts with 4 x 12 slot bags, here is what I recommend you get instead:

Character:
4 x Imbued Netherweave Bag

Bank:
7 x Netherweave Bag

Money to buy bank slots:
10s + 1g + 10g + 25g + 25g + 25g + 25g = 111g 10s

Cloth Hand in Quests:

For the cloth hand in quests for each major city, I am personally skipping Thunderbluff so I will be collecting 240 of each instead of 300.

300 Wool Cloth
300 Silk Cloth
300 Mageweave Cloth
300 Runecloth

LHC Hand In Quests

You start very near to Light's Hope Chapel so I recommend getting some of the materials for the hand in quests there. Please note if you are going straight to Outlands after you leave the start zone at level 58 then you can probably ignore these.

You need Honoured reputation with the Argent Dawn to hand these in so you will only get this by doing the cauldron quests.

Cenarion Circle Rep

I am going blacksmithing so I need some rep with the Cenarion Circle for the adamantite patterns, these along with the quests in Zangarmarsh should get me to revered.

Scryer/Aldor Reputation

In order to get shoulder enchants you need to be honoured with Aldor or Scryer, to facilitate this you should get the following:

Aldor:

220 Mark of Kil'jaeden

Scyrer:

220 Firewing Signet

You will then need 2 x Arcane Tome (scryer) or 2 x Fel Armament (Aldor) for each shoulder enchant you want to acquire, I suggest stacking 6-8 of these so you can put new ones on shoulders you get on the way to 80.

Glyphs

I am levelling as Unholy so these seem like the best Glyphs to get:

1 Glyph of Ghoul (Major)
1 Glyph of Deathstrike (Major)
1 Glyph of Pestilence (Minor)
1 Glyph of Horn of Winter (Minor)

I didn't pretend it was all my work at any point in time, check 2nd line of the OP. In my searches there were lists of things to get but very few of them contained everything so I took different lists from different places and put them together.

I just didn't see anything this comprehensive on mmowned and thought maybe some people would benefit from it.

but the gear and enchants are really unnecessary.
If you have some skill you can certainly do without.
Also, you'll probably get greens that beat those items
by miles at level 68

I think you will replace some of the items sure, some have a longer lifetime though but it does depend a little on what you are doing

If you don't run instances between 68-80 then you will probably find that you will get a good long use out of things like the Red Belt of Battle for example

Needless to say a lot of the stuff is optional, and every little helps when you are levelling

Unfortunately no

I used lists from elsewhere (deathknight.info mostly, some blogs people had put up etc)

I just put everything into one as there was a lot of fragmented infomation around

it's just that you said it's the most important thing.
The Gear listed probably won't last too long,
because you're going to get most of your Gear
replaced in about 3 Levels
Oh, and a recommendation for the Consumables:
Spicy Hot Talbuk
It's really the best for Levels 65+

You might also want to consider Glyph of Scourge Strike(http://wotlk.wowhead.com/?item=43551) if you are going unholy. I think it's one of the best glyphs available, and provides a viable alternative to the ghoul one.

I would go for Glyph of Death's Embrace instead of the Horn of the Winter, add the Horn of the Winter as a Level 70 one, more usefull there

All of that is a very EASY 100k xp in about 15min of flight/turn in time

I myself am doing that, what you have listed, most of the silithus quests, and cauldron quests

i will be 61 before outlands and on my way to reaching 70 well before everyone else =P


Again the items i listed are not exactly easy to get, but if you have the means do it, its easy xp
