How to increase latency very well!

Donate to Remove Ads, Get ShoutBawx - Elite Forum Access
TYPO TITLE!!! MEANT TO SAY DECREASE LATENCY!!

All credit goes to Swifty 3.

    First: open run

    Second:type "regedit"

    Third:Open HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE >> SYSTEM >> Current Control Set >> Services >> TCPIP >> Parameters >> Interfaces.

Fourth:Look in each folder for a line called DCHPIPaddress.

Fifth:Right click off to the sides >> New DWORD

    TYPE EXACTLY!!!

    "TcpAckFrequency"

Sixth:Right click the file you just made and hit modify. set value data to 1. Then click base to Hexadecimal.

Seventh: Disable your network connection to the internet. Then reconnect.

Now start WoW and your latency should be down a bit!

Thanks for looking at swiftys guilde(that was not made by me)

If it was not made by you, why are you saying it is your guide?

This has been posted on every Counter-Strike forum i've been to. and believe me, I've been to many since I've been having lag problems before.

This trick does not work for everybody, so keep ur expectations low if you have a lag prob.

So its not dangerous to go in your register and change these setting. You can always unchange it and set it to default on the same way?

Be very careful whilst changing items in the registry. I personally did this and it messed up almost every other latency intensive program I used; (including downloading, uploading)

Also, this is a copy pasta from a blizzard forum, is really old, and is dangerous if used incorrectly.

+Rep for trying to contribute though.

If you damage your registry, just load up in safe mode and use system restore.
