This is a simple but profitable one. Cobalt dragons (50-56 elites) near the lake in Winterspring are a great mob to farm for Mature Blue Dragon Sinews. The drop rate for these is tiny — you’ll be getting one Sinew on average for 1000 dragons killed or so. The good news is that the Sinews are epics that are worth something like 400 gold in the Auction House.
Of course these dragons drop a lot of green items and gray junk too so you can earn relatively well while waiting for the Sinew to drop. You get a lot of Traveler’s Backpacks which sell for 15 gold or so. This farming spot is especially good for skinners because you can skin the dragons for Rugged Leather and Blue Dragonscales which can be sold for very nice gold on their own.
Note: Killing level 50+ Elites is never too easy so you’d better be well equipped and of course having a pet never hurts.

not hard for a 58 to lvl in helfire peninsula plus u get like 10k xp off quests and it doesnt make sense to farm this better off doing quests till ur 58 and going to outlands and making 3g off of 3 kills : )

its not that, (a lvl 58 can make it good in outland) i mean that a lvl 50 - 57, if they have skills then ofc they can go, but this guide is meant for 50+,
not 58+![]()

I think this is a good guide actually. Besides what the flamers say. +rep
What Nolixz probably meant with that was that Sinew is worthless, as it is needed for a hunter epic weapon quest chain that starts from an item in Molten Core. And I don't think any reasonable hunter would want to get it then. It's the same with Eye of Darkness or whatever now, they sell for around 20g on my server, but no one ever buys them.
this is a useless guide. hunters can get 18 slot arrow bags/better weapons than this quest will give. no one will buy this. 'excellent farming place' only 0.001% chance of dropping! woah great.

I think its good and everyone should give this guy a break... think about it. As soon as you hit 70 and perhaps gear yourself out with something nice, killing elites at ~55 would be PERFECT for grinding; we've all probably ran through instances lower than us for cash and items and this is the same principle. The fact that skinning is involved will bring in people so much money; people cinstantly want materials of all diferent profesion levels, and I don't know the last time someone didn't want a 16 slotter when I asked in the trade channel. Fact is, its a nice guide for farming vendor trash, profession materials, and occasionally, good items. Another spot I'll keep in mind/try out if I'm after some cash.

ditto to the post above.
cut this guy some slack you noobs.
Nobody knows everything in wow so isn't it possible that sombody out there didn't know bout the dragons in winterspring? It could've been some 58 who skipped WS completely because they got BC just a month ago...

the best quiver that you can get that is not the Epic one is the 16 slot from AV honor. It has the +15% attack speed increase just like the Epic quiver that is 18 slots. I personally like the Epic bow and quiver. And yes I have since replaced the bow but I have kept the quiver.Originally Posted by Roflcopterzzz
