Farming Shadowfang Keep for Rogue twink gear

Shadowfang Keep is the best source for level 19 twink gear. These items sell for pretty high prices because rich high level players buy them for their low level ‘twink’ characters so that they can dominate the low level battlegrounds. Pretty much any trash mob inside Shadowfang Keep can drop one of these items but the drop rates aren’t very high. Some people have estimated that on average you get one BoE blue item every five SFK runs.


Grinding these trash mobs (around level 20 elites) is really easy as a higher level character. Another way to profit from these twink items is to find newbies doing Shadowfang Keep runs who don’t realize how much these twink items can be worth.


Twink items dropped by SFK mobs:

Assasin’s Bladeis the best dagger for level 19 Rogues. With a Fiery or a Crusader enchant it also becomes a good dagger for level 20-29 twinks. This is a very high demand twink item which should easily sell for over 100 gold. If there are tons of Rogue twinks on your server it might sell for over 500 gold. On average you get one of these every 85 SFK runs.

Shadowfang is the best level 19 one-handed sword which makes it another great Rogue twink weapon. Toughest guys want to have a Shadowfang in the main hand and a Assasin’s Blade in the offhand. On average you get one Shadowfang every 100 SFK runs.

Night Reaveris a great two-handed axe for level 18 Warriors. Not worth as much as the Rogue twink gear above but might sell for something like 50+ gold if you’re lucky.

Witching Stave is great for level 17 Mages/Warlocks/Priests.

Black Malice also drops in SFK. It’s a two-handed mace for level 16 Warriors. Doesn’t sell for nearly as much as any of the above items though.

Guillotine Axeis a good level 18 axe for Hunters.

gotta be 45+ i suggest, i did this on my 49 rogue when he was combat spec'd only kill the mobs that are above 22 and open the chests on the castle walls and after.

I did it with 50 pally pretty eaisly. would take about 6-8 mobs and just consencrate and take one at a time. It only took around 30 min or less i think.

Good idea, but at lvl 50 wont it be faster just to farm something else with a better drop chance?

not really. lol. i dont think anything can solo SM with ease at 50 and thats about the only other solid money maker.

And you can use it to twink your own alt.

i was gonna farm assassins blade for my twink, i got all rare epics except assassins blade and shadowfang, i got black malice, night reaver, 2x mindthurst bracers, gloomshroud vest, guillotine axe... i got so pissed off that i didnt even mind to sell those other blues to AH so i vendored them... after farming for a week like 4-6 hours per day, i stopped... and i noticed that my friend boosted his friend in SFK and he got it and gave it to his own twink... i rly got pissed and almost deleted my twink, but after a while of surfing here, i scammed so much that i now have 2x assassins blade with 15 agi on both, and im probably the best twink in the server now ^^
so everything turned out well...
and that was my life story until now...

I bought a shadowfang for 20g. What a deal. I pwn WSG with my twink. I even made my own guild with 90 members. woot

Another good spot for the alliance, Or maybe sometime the one or two undead, troll, and or orc rogues, that sneak in stormwind is The Stockade. Occasionally when i get bored from time to time i will go in stockade and clear it fairly fast. Makes it being lvl 69 and all. But there is a decent amount of wool cloth you get greens, and blues. Almost all the blues i get from there are 19 twinks.

So if your alliance and you dont wanna run your butt to shadowfang keep, Go try the stockades.

Someone should make a good guide on a twink rouge w/ all the armor + enchants that you want, if the item is BoE or BoP, where to get the item, and what talents you want for lvl 19 and 29.
