    [How To] Save Rotting Epics

This is a strategy my guild is currently using to make use of all the items that we disenchant in BT and Hyjal.

    1. Use ML (Masterlooter)
    2. Loot the item to anyone, except the person who has a char on the same account you want the item to go to. IE: Person A wants the item on his alt Person B, Don't loot the item to Person A if the 2 characters are on the same account, or it will not work.
    3. Bring the alt or person into the instance, and get them saved to it.
    4. Put a ticket in from the person you had the item looted to, Person A, and explain to them the ML looted the item to the wrong person and you would like it transfered to Person B.
    5. Wait- It can take a while for it to get done, but GM's don't check to see if the person was actually there for the kill, just if they're saved.

Don't abuse this, putting 5 tickets in per run will draw suspicion and you very well may lose the items. Everyone has 3 restores I believe, but if you want something bad enough this method works, we've been doing it for the past 3 weeks.

I can see how this can work but a guild on my serrver for destroyed because they did that. GMs saw that the char who the item was to go to was not in that raid, but i suppose you could get around that by brining it in for like one easy useless boss so that is it saved to the raid ID.

You don't need to bring the character in for a boss, simply zoning in saves them once bosses are dead. Like I said, we've been doing this for a couple weeks just transfered a Rising Tide to someones shaman who wasn't in the raid, they actually zoned the shaman in and saved him WHILE the guy was talking to the GM about where the item was supposed to go.

This is a really bad idea, but maybe because I like to use my restores for situations where I really need them.

Each time one of the knuckleheads in your guild does this they lose a restore...are the items really worth all that, that they can't be scooped up later? /shrug

Whatever floats your boat, but it's not something I'd recommend.

It does not use a restore. They transfer the item as an honest mistake by your ML. I repeat, this technique does not use any of your lifetime item restores.

FYI you get more than 3 restores. Its unlimited, just GMs tell you that to keep you from putting in tickets every day. I've boughted sets of arena/honor gear, used em for a few days, and put in a ticket saying i bought the wrong stuff. Ive gotten at least 30 items restored in about 20 different tickets since ive been playing.

First off, you're lieing about saying your guild just did it with 3 items 2 nights ago. They forward you to a specialist for any item restorations or transfers.

The specialist GM tickets are taking from 4 days - 1 week to be answered atm because Blizzard is short handed on their GM staff. So quit lieing about you doing it all the time when it would've taken you minimum a few days to even have it reversed.

Hefty, they do forward it to a specialist but we've gotton in touch with a specialist within 6 hours or so, and they do the switch. Different servers may have different specialists, but this works for us. If you're too lazy to even try it and just mouth off about something you haven't done before go ahead, just trying to contribute and help people solve a problem of wasting epics.
