Hello and welcome to my WOW class guide.
I hope you'll like this one and I hope that this guide will help ya if you're thinking to reroll/start playing wow.
NOTE! These informations are ONLY my opinion and doesn't have to be true.
I'm also sorry if I made some spelling / grammar mistakes. After all, my mother tongue isn't English :P
Note 2: I've posted this in this forum, I didn't find any other forum where I could post this topic (except maybe WoW General).
Warlock
My very first class in WoW.
It's very interesting class to play, and quite fast leveler in my opinion.
It's all about DOTs in leveling :P
Warlock is quite good dps, and, as far as I've saw, it got quite buffed up in WotLK.
If you decided to roll warlock, you'll have a lot of fun, that's one thing for sure.
Now, there are 2 specs I would recommend you to use for leveling:
1. Affliction/demonology
2. Demonology/Affliction
I cba to make talent builds right now, so search for em.
If you go deep enought for SLife in aff build, you'll have nearly 0 downtime.
But, MAKE SURE that you ALWAYS check DOTs. You must rotate them to make maximum damage.
Hunter
B00ring.
You'll get to 80 with him in no time, but, you'll get bored.
As far as leveling concerned:
I've made hunter Nelf on my trial account, and leveled it up to 10.
Killing mobs was like: shot, shot, shot. Dead.
And this was without pet.
Now, imagine hunter with a bit better gear and pet.
Dunno what build is best for leveling.
Druid
Druid is one of my favorite classes.
I've had level 50 dr00d, but cba to transfer it from dead server (dont have enough money).
Leveling is interesting, fast and with low downtime. When they get lolcat (level 20).
Feral is best for leveling.
Paladin
My next class.
Seriously, they are 2nd most OP class now (after DK).
I've leveled it to level 15 on trial. When I was level 10, I pulled 6 mobs level 10/11
and OWNED them.
And I didnt even had judgment of wisdom, flash heal nor any AOE.
So far, very interesting class to play and according to spells I saw, they'll get better and better.
For leveling, go retribution.
Mage
Go for it but only as frost (for leveling).
Cool class to play, high survivability, you make yourself food, so it's quite inexpensive class.
On higher levels it's really good dps, do mana eating.
Mage without mana = dead mage.
When I leveled it, I had to drink after killing 3 mobs, so, they do have quite a bit of downtime.
Deathknight
Made-to-be-OP class.
Seriously, I've played with it to level 70, and than quitted WoW.
I'm returning to it AGAIN, and I'm so going to play with DK along with Pala.
They are really good tanks BUT also very good dps-es.
On level 62-63 you'll be able to kill like 10 mobs in 2 minutes as Unholy.
Shammy
Never played this one, but, as far as I know, they have very low to non downtime.
So, they're fast levelers.
Their totems provide a lot of buffs in raids / party-es / wever.
I guess any build except resto is good for leveling.
Depends of your play-style.
Warrior
Class I've never played and never will.
As far as I've heard (again, I cant know this for sure cause I never played it) they have
a lot of downtime and a lot of corpse running.
But again, this is something what I've heard, maybe some hunters will tell ya different.
Rogue
Class is way underpowered before level.. Well, ~10 or something.
I had A LOT of hard time soloing level 11 mob.
I mean, WTF?!
But, well, after, they get their abilities after, and when they get em, they aren't so underpowered
Never played one above level 15, cause I don't like em (after all, I was playing Warlock in TBC, HOW COULD I LIKE THEM?!).
They don't have any AOE, so, leveling could be problem.
There, I hope I covered all classes, if I didn't than say and I'll do my best to write something usefull about em.
Also, as you can see I didn't play some of these classes on higher level, so, like I've said on the very beggining some of this might not be true.
Feel free to post your opinion.
Btw, I'm sorry if many of threads like this have been made.
Btw 2, SORRY FOR WALL OF TEXT!
