Scam the Powerlevellers for free gold/items

Introduction

Alright, I don't know if this will work or not cuz I haven't tried it out (yet). I just thought of this, so here goes.

This is kind of like Successful's thread on getting compensation for a banned account ( click here for Successful's guide), but instead of using a banned account, you're going to be doing something else, so it really isn't a repost (unless someone posted a topic similar to this that I can't find.) :|


Step 1

*OPTION 1* On your WoW account, send all of you main's gear to an alt or something. Make sure to strip the main of everything he is wearing.

*OPTION 2* Find a WoW funserver, get your character to level 65-70 or so, bank everything or drop it, get Primal Mooncloth bags, equip them, and do Shift B to show all of your backpacks, which should be empty. This can be used to fool the PL service into thinking that one of their employees stole your stuffs. See STEP 2 for a screenshot I'm using.


Step 2

Take a screenshot of the character without his stuff on (you can either do it at the logon page or in-game). Upload the screenshot at ImageShack® - Hosting or some other picture uploading site.

I'm using this screenshot to fool my victims, build an example from this.

Step 3

Go to a powerlevelling site (Something like wowpl.com) and open up their live chat (if they have one). If not, get their contact info for AIM or MSN or whatever and contact them. If it comes to the worst case where the sad powerlevelling service has no AIM or MSN, you have two choices.

*OPTION 1*: You leave this sad service and find a better one that has decent services such as Live Chat and AIM's and stuff.
*OPTION 2*: You take the time and liberty of e-mailing then (WHICH IS SOMETHING THEY HOPEFULLY HAVE LOL!)


Step 4

Now you're gonna start chatting to one of the support people. Some of them aren't stupid, so don't make it too obvious. The chat should look something like this:

-Operator- hey
-You- Hello there. How are you today?
-Operator- good wat can i help u with
-You- Well I was using your powerlevelling service (which I think is great) to level up on my INSERT CHARACTER INFO HERE to get it to level ____. However, I have one problem.
-Operator- wats ur problam
-You- I logged in to check up on my character and I found him with nothing on! I have a pic for you to see, too. INSERT PIC URL HERE
-You- I was just wondering if I could recieve some armor to get me back started or some gold to get some new armor. (if its going well at this part and they're falling for this, give them like an idea for what they should give you ex: [it would be nice if i could at least get money for my sword, which was about 70g])

Now this all depends on the PL service/operator. They may either say "we been cheeted 2 many timez srry" (this happened to me on wowpl.com with a different scam, so be careful with them)

OR

they may really give you something!!

If they don't, just try a different site or try coming back at a different time where someone else may fall for it.


QUICK TIPS!

-Try not to act too greedy and to demand way too much. If you demand way too much, it'll be obvious. Stick with the not-so-big amounts

-Use a proxy or something so they can't track your IP.

-YOU CAN USE A PRIVATE SERVER FOR THE SCREENSHOT! It's much easier if you find a funserver and take the screenshot there. They'll never know. Just hide the realm name, though. (kudos to auron_dude for the obvious idea XD)

You can always just bank it.. It's not like you're letting the person see your bank or anything. :P

Unless you decide to let them go on your account so that you can assure them even more, which is quite risky so you'll have to retrieve the account back IF they end up scamming you. :|

Some don't ask for order number.. I'm talking about scamming the real stupid services. :P

Like wowpl, I don't think they ask for order number, but then again someone said in an above post they scam. :\

You can increase your chances by letting them see the char you sent it to, but you have to be very careful cuz they might go on your alt and find out or try to change pass etc etc. in which case you'll have to retrieve before they do damage.

Yeah, the throw inside of a bank is a good idea. That's what me and my friend are doing. I screened a naked me on a private server with empty bags and only 19c lol.
