    Was reading this thread
    http://www.mmowned.com/forums/wow-sc...email+phishing

    And thought...Why not add this website phishing and the fake emails together? Go to some wow account selling/buyin/trade websites and get a bunch of emails from posters. Go make yourself a fake email account over at hotmail with the details described in previous posts (first name wowaccountadminUS or whatever and last name .) Email these people and use the fake email notifications.

    Greetings,

    It has come to our attention that you are trying to sell/trade your personal World of Warcraft account.
    As you may or may not be aware of, this conflicts with the EULA and Terms of Agreement of Blizzard Entertainment and World of Warcraft.
    If upon further investigation you are indeed attempting to obtain monetary profit against the terms of the user agreement, your account can and will be disabled. Blizzard has the right to consider legal action if necessary, based on the severity of the action.

    If you hope to avoid account suspension, you should verify your personal possession of the account in question.
    We at Blizzard Entertainment take infractions of the user agreement quite seriously, and we must confirm the original ownership of the account.
    This is easily done by supplying your personal information about your account. You can confirm that you are the original owner of the account by replying to this email:

    Please use the following template below to verify your account and information via email.

    * First and Surname
    * Address
    * Zip code
    * Phone number Daytime
    * Country
    * Account e-mail
    * CD-key, alternative a photograph of your CD-key that is located on your manual for World of Warcraft.
    * Account name
    * Account password
    * Secret Question and Answer

    If you ignore this mail your account can and will be closed permanently due to suspicions of alternative ownership.
    We ask that during the time of the investigation you give approximately twenty-four hours of inactivity after sending a response email. This should provide enough time for Blizzard to confirm your identity and that the terms of agreement are being followed as is necessary.

    Regards,

    Account Administration Team
    Blizzard Entertainment Inc.

    BUT. In there you can add in an alternate way to "verify" their account would be to log in and provide a link. Be like "You can also verify this account is yours by logging in here(make here link to you phishing site) and providing the correct information). Figure most people would take the easy route and click the link. I don't I personally haven't had much success just email scamming people as they're often like "LAWLW SCAMMER WOW DOESN'T USE HOTMAIL" which kinda of sucks but think this would help this situation out a bit. Thoughts? Concerns? Repost?

    Totally illegal. You may not pretend you are Blizz like this. Lucky people say "ROFL" not "if you take my account i can suit you"

    Re: Fake email from Blizz + Website Phishing

    no one in there right mind would sue some one for taking there account, and all the targeted victims are people who are trying to sell there account which is against bliz's rules. Blizzard or anyone would lose money trying to take this to court...
