Guild Bank scam

Hi, Me and two other friends scammed a guild bank wery easy, it took around 1hour. all we did was: My m8 had a lvl 68 and he asked the guild officer to get invited, then he got invited to a nooby guild. But the guild had a wery nice guild bank, so my m8 said he was an alt of an officer and then asked for a guild promote, the noobdy officer did that and "poooF" there he was an officer in the guild.

after 10minutes we had started two level 1`s nearby by the bank, and my m8 traded us some 16slot bags, and we stood ready at the bank and he invited us and we took all that was inside it!. it was epic/blues from lvl 40-70 and enchanting items that we sold, we got 3k gold from the guild bank

It is all very nice but if th Guild master is smart enough he will just write to a gm and tell them your friend pretended to be an alt of an officer and it will all get rolled back.
The only way to steal guild bank for real is if the guild master just trust you because then it isn't a scam.

The ranks of the guild and the guild control is the reponsibility of the Guild Master ONLY. Unless ANY account has been compromised (hacked into and then used for promotions or stealing), NO ACTION WILL BE TAKEN BY BLIZZARD SIMPLY BECAUSE THEY DO NOT HAVE TO.

While a decent idea, it's been done time and time again to GMs who are just too stupid to protect their guild. Unfortunately it's nothing new :-/

You can't promote someone to a rank higher than one rank below yourself.
So if Guild Masters choose to let low ranks withdraw stuff from the bank, expect stuff like this.

It's not a new scam, but its a good scam, and it's worked numerous times for me.

I have stolen stuff from about 5 different guild banks and now my account has been suspendedo or even in the process of being close permanently so be careful who you scam
