PTR/TTR GM Scam.

Hey all we all know the GM scam, However the high ban rate means its underused, Ive been doing this scam now for both phases of the TTR and since there now nearly over i will reveal the best way to do this.

Things needed.

-WIM addon ( wow instant messenger )

You need this addon to keep control of the wispers you will be sending.

-Paitence.

Might take you 5 mins might take you 5 hours but i promise keep doing this scam you will get accounts.

-Ability to multitask

Now you need to be able to be running wow acc management, the TTr/PTR a normal version of wow.


The scam.

Firstly your going to need to make macros, For those who have never heard of the GM scam, By typeing a Dot -> . <- then 20-30 spaces, you can make it look as if your a GM or anyone for that matter.

Now make the following macros.

. <GM>Your name: Hello "There name"! This is Game master "your name" May i have a moment of your time?

This is what you will send out to people, i started with 3 people at a time, then i got to 20-25 people at a time, 90% of the people you ask will know your a fake and either, ignore you, wisper you some nasty words or whatever, just ignore them and move on. Eventually youll meet someone dumb, This is where you knolege comes in, you have to estimate how foolish the person is before you ask for any information.

Now you can go with 2 stories, Either, You need the person playing to verify that it is there account, or if your really heartless you could go with the "you paid for the TTR/last gamecard with a stolen CC"

For this example im going with the verfiy account story as the credit card story is Fraud and do not blame me if anything happens to you, However ill say one thing, People are so dumb, they WILL give you there CC info.

Now make this macro.

. <GM>Yourname: Im sorry to say but it has come to our attention that you are not the orginal owner of this account, Would you mind spending a few minetes verifying your the owner?

This is make or break, youll no by peoples reaction if they dumb enuff to hand over details, If they are, Proceed. If not make this macro.


. <GM>Yourname: Ok then "therename" im going to put a tempory ban on your account and we will send a letter whitch you will need to fill in and send back.

This will make them crap there pants, No wow for 2 weeks? They will now either tell you where to go or start handing over info. Now make this macro.

. <GM>Yourname: Ok "therename" ill need you to verfiy your full name on the account, the e-mail associated and the answer to your secret question.

if they send you all the info proceed.

. <GM>Yourname: Ok, thank you, Now i will need you to verfiy your account name, And password, Please note a blizzard employee will never log into your account, it is for verification purposes only.

If they are still giveing you this info, you now can take 2 choices, Get more info, or take what you have and run.

. <GM>Yourname: please send an ID photo of yourself to "fake blizz e-mail", Im also going to send you a verification e-mail to the one you specified.

This is the clever part, Send an e-mail from wow.de or wow.cn requesting a mail change, they will not understand the langauge and most will just hit the link and change there mail. Once this is all done, You have all info to your new account.


Good points of the scam - unbannable, no GMs monitor the TTRs or PTRs do on a scammed account if needed however it is unbannable.

amount of idiouts - Do /who 70 shaman/rogue ect ect to find new victims, wisper in bulk and trust me you will get accounts. Hope this helps people.

Im sure this scam would be really hard to pull off. For the fact that I doubt someone dumb enough to fall for this could find their way to the PTR/TTRs though I could be wrong...

a notepad file with 18 accounts about 7 with full info includeing photo id's, Would argue otherwise.
