buying S3 items after S4 worth it or what?

There is not much difference between s3 and s4, very little actually. This was released to just hold the arena crew over until WoTLK. If you have the points / rating, get s4, every bit helps. If you don't have it, then don't sweat it and get what you can.

p.s. Imo, as a shaman, S4 looks horrible!

S3 Looks so much better than S4 for warlock I plan on getting the more discounted s3 once s4 hits.

I'd go for season 3 to be honest, you can always upgrade it when your bored and have the rating! instead of hoarding arena points til u got the rating

But i remember having the exaclty same opionion for S2 and S3 I detesed S3 Paladin and Warrior but now it's grown on me and looks pro :P

Don't take this as fact, but some people are suggesting that your honor points and arena points will probably be reset when Lich King comes out. The reason for this is, people can save thousands of arena and honor points, and then as soon as they hit 80 they could get nearly a full set of epics instantly. Now I'm sure you can understand why Blizzard might decide they don't want to let people do that, and wipe the points when the expansion comes out.

Again, I don't know for sure. But be aware it could happen (wouldn't surprise me).

I might be wrong, but I don't think they did this for TBC, did they? If so, then why would they do it for WoTLK

heres the way i feel about it buying S3 is not that good of an idea cus eventually youll get to where you buy the s4 and the points you spent on s3 will be wasted same goes for the non-set epics. just my 2 cents

all depends on your personal rating.. shoulders are for status anyway, not the stats really.

If you can achieve the s4 personal rating then definitely get the s4, it's only a few hundred arena points more.

If you can get the ratings you need to obtain them, just wait, it will be worth the few extra stats and saved arena points.

you will need the S3 to help you get the rating for S4. I am getting all the S3 items non set epix and weapon/shoulder to help push me into S4 level.
