Merging WoW Accounts

So i bought a shell wow account which we will call "Account 1" it has just under 20k ap (has a couple mounts and pets but nothing amazing) there is nothing at all, just a crap load of achievement points. With this shell account i've managed to get Blizzard to change the surname so it matches my main account.

On my main account which we will call "Account 2" i have about 17k ap (with lots of rare mounts and pets) and of course all my main characters.

Since the accounts have the same surname i can opt to merge "Account 1" onto "Account 2", through doing this i know i will lose the mounts and pets from Account 1 but i have much better ones on my main account (Account 2). What i want to know is by merging Account 1 onto Account 2 will it merge all the Achievement Points even though Account 1 has nothing on it?

Not really the correct forum for this, but I believe you can no longer move your achievements from battle.net to battle.net and as far as I know you cannot merge two battle.net accounts, you can only merge with older WoW license account pre battle.net accounts era. So in short, you cannot merge two b.net achievements into one account.

This is new. It turns out you now can merge two wow(and other games) from different b.nets but you cannot merge achievements that are account bound. hmm but character specific achievements are fine. oO

Character specific achievements will move over, but account bound achievements will not.

I don't think there's a way to move achievements from an empty account to your main account, unless you can restore the characters from the main account then individually transfer those characters to the account you want the achievements on.

I would be interested in finding out what happens in the end, so please keep us updated if you do merge accounts. I wanted to do something similar but if no mounts or wardrobe items carry over it's pointless.

you know a long time ago (not sure how many years its been) I merged 2 accounts. I was told I was gonna lose mounts. I was only upset about one mount, but when they merged I still had the mount I was worried about. I never asked why it moved when I was told it wouldn't.

You'd have to get incredibly lucky by contacting a GM and them actually merging the licence to another battle.net account, it's very unlikely and could go wrong so be warned.

Just a hunch but I think you are going to need to have the characters on the WoW account that earn't the "Character-specific achievements" for them to take on the new battle.net account.

not really. U can easily get account merged now a days by a gm.

They even offer it often.

I'm sorry but Combine Blizzard Accounts - Blizzard Support has all the answers; there is no danger merging them if you actually read that FAQ.

As far as I know you cannot change the surname of the account.

I once merged my 2nd account onto my main account (same surname when registered) and all character specific achievements were moved over.
Transmogs were NOT moved.
Pets were NOT moved.
With mounts im very confused like 50% were moved couldnt figure out what the reason was.
