    Hand-farming: no.

Botting: maybe, but the initial investments are quite expensive - the botting software, WoW accounts and subscriptions, hardware to run many instances of the game, etc. Then you need a customer-base, which can take a while to establish. Gold is pretty cheap, so you need to make a LOT to make it profitable.

Bans are Nothing. Aslong as you make enough gold to cover for the account, you are fine

Farming dungeons with throwaway accounts is really good money as well only thing it takes is a level 85 with vendor gear from mop to farm regular outlands/wotlk dungeons for an easy 500-1k/hour

Saying that hand farming gold isn't worth the time... REALLY depends on your whereabouts in the world. Is it going to be $20 an hour? no... but it sure beats a minimum wage job for some people.

Some people hand make millions of gold.
