5.4 last patch in MoP and level cap is 100 in next wow xpac - confirmed?

I found this quite interesting post on wowinsider.
Apparently Hellscream, the final boss in the new raid coming in 5.4 will have a chance to drop a heirloom that is for level 90-100 only. (This might change, it's from the PTR, not evrything here will come live) I think this pretty much confirms that 5.4 will be the last patch in Mist of Pandaria since, why else release a heirloom if you have to wait another patch to use it? It also confirms that the level cap in the next xpac will be 100 (Unless ofcourse they want to keep the heirloom to be used in the xpac after that, but i doubt it.). Or; the heirloom will only be on his loot table for a limited time (say 5.4 only) and since the boss will be a such a bitch to kill, blizz is giving you a reward for doing it while it's current. And this time instead of making it a shitty FOS, you get something you can use for the next two expansions. Also, the next cap will almost definitely be 95.

I REALLY hope they end up doing the "squish" they talked about previously. Idk about everyone else, but I feel the numbers for everything are getting blown out of proportion, health, dps, stats, etc. I for one don't want to be doing 1.5 million dps at lvl 100.

Why? Because of the ilevel being 574 rather than 674 (which is probably what it would be if it were for 2 expacs). If it were for 2 expacs it would also allow you to bypass the next expansions raid weapons, unless blizzard updated the ilevel for the 95-100 expansion. And that wouldn't make much sense because they could just allow you to upgrade it from 95-100 much like you can with level 80 heirlooms to 85.

I actually want to have to level cap set to 100, I like leveling being more awarding than just questing 12 hours for one level(YES i am a slow leveler unless i bot, i tend to do a lot of exploration and exploiting 50% of the time^^ )

@Thaadevil w Not necessarily. i believe the current heirloom scaling allows them to adjust the scaling as it goes (if you wear one from 1-85 you'll notice around the expansion breakpoints the scaling is modified). So it could have a certain scaling algorithm for 90, a new one for 91-95, and a new one for 96-100.

The info is 10 years old. I'm not knocking the information in the article, that's cool and all but there doesn't need to be an argument about the cap being 95 vs 100

I seriously doubt it. Blizzard generally wanted to end on the Burning Legion, and the Dark below is most likely going to be the new expansion. That'll probably tie into Azshara, and then we'll go finish off the burning legion. I'm sure they'll milk as much money out of WoW as they can.

We will probably end up going to 100 next expansion as giving us the weapon now to keep for a whole expansion seems a bit strange. Also 5.4 isn't going to be the last patch. It's releases the final tier of raid content but they have confirmed that there will be a patch 5.5 and possibly 5.6
