Load Model Edits in WoWModelViewer

Yes, it is possible.

1. Open up WMV (duh...)
2. Go to Options, then Settings. The Options menu is at the top of the screen, one of the menus like "File" and "View"
3. A screen will pop up, with a few checkboxes and a list of MPQ files. To the right of the list are five (5) buttons.
4. Click 'Add', then navigate to where the model edit you want in WMV is.
5. Double click the file. The list should come back up, and your model edit should be at the top. An example of before and after (sorry for no screenies)
