Create offline private server

I am sure this has been asked and answered many times and i apologize for being unable to find the answer. But this forum is so full of great content that it is hard for a noob to find the right answer.

I dont know anything about programming. So I am looking for a guide or install to play WoW offline on my computer, preferable with all items, quests and races, but I take what I can get.

If any of you would be so kind and give me a push into the right direction with a link or a search phrase that would be awesome.

Also if there is such offline server, it is easy to change some minor things like level cap or item drop?

Not entirely sure you mean what I think you mean. It's impossible to play the retail server offline, however just look up something called "WoW emulations" or "Private Server emulation" that should guide you into an area of understanding. Goodluck

There are many guides and emulators, but I have no interest in playing with others, just want to play in an "empty" PVE world with the quests and all. I guess as close to the Blizzard server (without other players) as possible.
Any emulator or package you can recommend would be great.

Yeah, that's a awesome thing to explore the world...of warcraft. You can find 4.3.4 patch servers and prior but nothing really up to date. They haven't really done anything mop like that works well, imo. But have a look in the emulation subforum here, more precise look at Mango umm emulation server? i think that's what it's called, they're the easiest with the most guides. They come with a database full of quests, npc's and commands for you to just **** around by yourself.

I can't speak from tons of experience, but I have hosted locally an mango 3.3.5 server. It was fun for about an hour, then it wasn't worth playing anymore...it was more of a fun learnign experience.
