Datamined Battlegrounds from the World of Warcraft: Mists of Pandaria.
This video will show you in-game footage of the new PvP grounds: STV Diamond Mine and Azshara Crater.

Battleground Information:

STV Diamond Mine is a Goblin Mine below northern STV. Battleground will introduce payload style gameplay where you need to escort mine cars to a depot.
There are multiple tracks, you will get a lot of options and you will be able to decide which way you want the cart to go.
First faction to reach an X amount of resources wins. STV Diamond Mine map:

Azshara Crater is going to be a DotA gameplay style battleground. The main goal is to make it to the enemy base and destroy it.
This is done by the help of creature waves of your own faction. There are lanes with towers protecting the bases which you need to take down. To learn more about the DotA genre, please visit

This has been in since at least Cataclysm Friends & Family alpha, I remember going through the data files while waiting for sandboxes to be updated. Nice to see again though .

Azshara has been in there befor cataclysm with full objects and everything it's used alot in private servers. I had no idea about the STV mine.

I really enjoy these new areas... I've been running around them lately using the EverMorph Model Edit tool. Fun stuff!


*edit: Xel, when I was flying around Ashzara crater I discovered a Temple-Of-The-Moon like structure on one end of the map. It was a bit higher up, and you couldn't see it unless you landed on it or were in it... have you seen that, and do you know anything about it? Again, this was found accessing these areas through EverMorph... not sure if that structure will be there when things go live...

It has always been there, it's a messed up non-textured model s (wmo) similar to elune's temple (violet with white background). Left it out since it would've looked stupid.

Don't judge it based on the video in this thread. It isn't from Mists (despite the thread title), just some unused data in the game files.

Its been there since vanilla, and has always been messed up, I don't think the Azshara files have been touched since they have been added.

I don't think I'd call this MoP datamined content, I'm not sure about the mines, but I know that the Azshara mapfiles have been there since release.

Xel is an expert at model editing.... he knows well that the STV Diamond Mine and Ashzara Crater have been in the game files for a while... so if he says that they're going to be included in MoP, I would like to believe he knows something about it.
