[Level 1 race] with price money

Im thinking of organizing a level 1 race with price money, we allready do this with friends and have some great fun with it! With friends we all wager like €5,- and then we have a first, second and third money price.

We are thinking of doing some sort of a public race now because we think its really funny.
Like an entry price of €1,- and if we get alot of ppl to run along it could get quite interresting.

We use a system with referees and trading checkpoints so you need like 2 items at the end of the finish to trade the items to the raidleader. Its only allowed to walk on paths, if you pass them or cutt off you will be blacklisted and banned from the raid.

What do you guys think?

Think of horse racing.. but the horses are level ones.

Not going off paths would ruin it all. No way you can monitor that.

hmm, what would your suggestion be then? just everyone for himself? and just see who finishes first?

Also we dont clear mobs that are in the path, you have to look out yourself and try to not get aggro, this is a really funny part much ppl gonna die in a race:P

When I did this last time we all started out with lvl 1 tauren and had to be the first to arrive at orgrimmar. No rules about "paths" that was the whole fun part =)

No rules, aside from no summoning/passenger mounts/people helping with speed stuff.
Just let em go off paths. Its a risk you take with aggroing mobs.

You should do Undead to the top of Frostsaber Rock in Winterspring, have a referee there to check that you made that checkpoint. Then go to Light Hopes Chapel in EPL. 6):

I think you'll have a hard time organising this, and the fact you are involving real money makes it far more complicated. Good luck with it if you decide to do it.
