How was this done?

Now, I am new to the whole exploiting and such scene and was wondering how the people at 'wowmine.com' were able to make a ad out of dead gnomes in IF on my server.

I was told that the bodies just dropped from the sky, and there was no physical dying.

though i know why you'd suspect that, they pulled that ad off on my server frostwolf as well. they weren't actually characters that were made and then killed there by horde or whatever, it was a client-side hack and the bodies dropped from the sky.

hmmm it could be a hack, most likely on a very low populated server, notice how few amount of people are standing there? usually there is 20-30 people chilling out there

Happened on Archimonde a few times now. Blizzard posted stating it was a server hack that made the gnomes spawn in the ceiling of Ironforge and fall into a precise pattern, spelling out the URL.

You're retared its happening in alot of servers and bodies fell from the sky.

tbh why would you talk shit when you dont know anything about it at all!
thats just stupid.

My best guess would be that it is a hack of some sort, specially after reading the wowforums. It could be that the guys have found a way to exploit a bug in the servers, if they have, then it could be used for more "selfish" things
