    Is this a good computer for running WoW?

    What settings in game could I run with this computer setup.

    Operating system = Genuine Windows Vista Ultimate (64-bit)
    Processor = Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-975 processor Extreme Edition (3.33GHz, 1MB L2 + 8MB shared L3 cache with QPI)
    Memory = 12GB DDR3-1066MHz SDRAM
    Hard drive = 320GB 10K rpm & 640GB 7200 rpm SATA 3Gb/s
    Graphics card = 1GB ATI Radeon HD 4850

    Is this a good computer for running WoW?

    That processor is also a complete waste of money, the i7 920 can OC to that and still have a ton of room left (920 can go upwards of 4.4GHZ)

    Why the hell are you only getting 1066 DDR3? DDR3 1600 is cheap and a helluva lot faster.

    HDD is meh, its a raptor & a data drive.

    GFX card... If you can dump the money into a ****ing I7 975 why the hell can't you get something better than a 4850? Go for a 4890 (or 2) or get a GTX 260/275/higher

    lmao. I'm just messing around. I got a custom built computer with NONE of these specs..

    I just wanted to see since this is the highest performance computer you can buy on hp.com

    HP, Dell, Alienware... They all suck.
    Way overpriced and limited part selection.

    Custom built ftw.

    For you, Nvidia or ATI? I got a 8980 Radeon(or something.. I forget) in mine atm and I run highest settings with 20 fps.. Hbu?

    GTX 260 (216), I like Nvidia more than ATI because they don't tend to screw me over with drivers (Had an ati, wasn't a pleasant experience).

    I don't play wow anymore, but get ~40fps+ @ 1680x1050 on high settings in left4dead/team fortress 2

    Yeah, that comp is overkill for WoW

    CPU is way too phat

    The the graphics card doesn't match up to the CPU. Always get balanced parts
