[Discussion] So what's next guys?

Things are looking too good for Glider. I still have hope and really really really wish that the Judge allows MDY to continue through the appeal process. Hell, if they do I'll probably buy everyone I know lifetime Elite Keys, just to give them what little support I can. This post has a legendary tag because that's just what Glider is.

But what if?

What's in the future? Will someone come take their place? What happened to OpenBot? If not OpenBot then what?

The things that make Grey Area programs WIN instead of FAIL are plugins. I mean hell, you got everything you could ever want for Glider.... even freaking iPhone Apps! Personally, I use GliderTools, JGlidemon, Pather (most important), AIMLBot, and always use Custom Classes.

I'm starting to think that botting companies will be skeered off from selling bots. But the thing is, if you have a good bot that works well then people won't have a problem donating. Even though Blizzard is going after different issues, the fact of the matter remains that they are just pissed because Glider makes alot of money off THEIR game.

I don't want to seem like I 100% think Glider will die. But, you always have to plan for the future.

So what's in the future? What's your opinion?


Personally, idk. I've been really counting on Glider. I have been out of the states for the last 2yrs almost and was planning on putting my effort into the Community as a C/C++/C# programmer, now that I'm back. But, I came back right around the last court date. So, it seems rather useless atm the moment to spend hundreds of hours on something that's in the fate of the dice.

I don't think so. I think it comes down to the fact that Glider made a considerable amount of money off what Blizzard created and now they are crying about it.

I've done alot of research over the last week or so and I'ved noticed that Glider has pretty much SMASHED every other bot created for WoW into oblivion.

Not to mention, that if OpenBot is released from somewhere like Sweden or Germany... then Blizz can't touch them. The only way Blizz has a chance of touching OpenBot is if it was released from the US or UK.

Also the main point of Glider isn't how well it grinds or the plugins... it's the Shadow Driver. The most secure way of running anti-Warden... if I am right... OpenBot runs off ISXWoW or ISXWarden right? Neither of those were able to even cast a shadow on Shadow Driver.

Blizzard screwed up. They are going to be flooded with bots that look like bots. At least Glider+Pather+AIML looked and acted human.

Openbot rocks. Used to to bot my warrior. Didn't get banned. Best bot i've ever used.
I do hope for a new undetectable release.

Eventually a sucessor will come, if Glider gets ruled against. But Glider was very impressive in terms of its anti-detection features
