100% droprate on rare mounts

i have read the EJ thread, i participated in the old thread here.. i spend 2 weeks experimenting with this..

and i really dont think there's any way to link loot that will but hasnt dropped yet..

After server restart (tuesday on US, i guess) delete your itemcache file in your cache folder. Log in and try to link any of the rare mount's reins. It will only show "retrieving item information". I tried this myself several times over the last few weeks trying to get that time-lost proto drake. And indeed, after someone told in the channel that he just got it, the item was suddenly linkable. After the server restart it wasn't linkable again until someone found it.

could be proof im right.. the drake must have spawned before he killed it ofc.. so you should have been able to link the reins before he killed it.. ofc he could have killed it 10 seconds after it spawned...

but whatever... i experimented a LOT with this some time back.. i saw no inditaction of anyway to predict loot.. i've been to BT right after server reset with clean itemcache.. and i was only ably to link the items i had myself..

just seeing a link in a chat wont even add it to your database, you have to see the item tooltip (click the link) before you can re-link it.. tested this with me in BT and a mate in ZA right after server reset.. he linked me items and i couldnt re-link em before i had clicked em to view the tooltip..

if seeing an item in a chat wont add it to your database then i really cant see how a mob just having the item would add it..

but feel free to waste some weeks on this.. i had fun when i did

Lots of discussion on this over at EJ.. I was sure I read somewhere that this "Did" work at some point.. but it was only on the PTR, was fixed before live. or went live .. but was hot fixed almost immediately.
