I've been hanging out in and around the DK starting zone for quite a while now; and I noticed there didn't seem to be much of the place in the exploration community. This video should hopefully change that. I spent way too much time gathering good footage and putting it together. I could've just done one big recording but as always I got myself too involved in the project. I haven't shown everything in this video, but I hope you'll enjoy it nonetheless. (there has to be things left to explore for oneself, right? )

I had no idea that there would be so much to see outside of the starting zone! i'm really glad you shared this with us, i REALLY REALLY loved the Waterfall scenery in the hinterlands! that was a really rare view that i think a lot of people here would never have seen if it wasn't for you! Thanks!

I haven't personally explored the outside of the DK starting zone since they removed the Unknown zones... we used to use them to break DKs out of the zone early. Any idea if they inadvertently added them back in? Did you notice any Unknown zone areas while you were out there?

This escape method (using the death valkyrie to resurrect on the other side of the invisible wall) has been posted before... but I can't locate any of the old videos. No matter, it is an exploration rarely shown. Looking forward to watching this video! Thanks much for sharing.

I haven't seen any Unknown zones while I was there. I was hoping I'd find one behind the ghostlands portal, but there wasn't anything there. I've yet one more spot to explore however.

I searched with quite a lot of tags and this one didn't come up. I've taken a quick look and I'll just point out that your way to get to the hinterlands is very different from mine (yours requires lots of walljumping, whereas mine takes one or two at best).
