    Isle of Thunder Patch 5.1

    I noticed that you could see some terrain on the horizon when looking north from Townlong Steppes so something must be there.
    I had to use offline mode to get there and this is what I found:

    Looks like a smaller placeholder version of Isle of Thunder that will be released soon.

    Thanks to:

    Snyth for his offline-mode video

    AraiXplorer for the working DC macro
    http://www.ownedcore.com/forums/worl...-back-one.html (Old school DC Macro is back - no trouble with logging back on this one)
    Which is:
    Code:
    /run for v=1,500 do for i = 1,GetNumFactions() do SetWatchedFactionIndex(i) end end

    Have been there a few days ago and you don't need the offline mode. I've used my warrior to get through the invisble wall and the only thing you need to get there is a 280% flying mount. You have to get fast through the wall to avoid damage but it's absolutely possible. I think mages will get through there easy, too. Only the fog is disturbing..
    Whatever. Nice to see you finding out your way there and making a video, keep this up. +rep :-)

    I've been there as well about 2 weeks ago and the fog is REALLY annoying! For anyone with a Warlock that didn't think of this already, you can get through the invisible wall with the Eye of Kilrogg trick even though you can't place your portal while you're swimming (and fatigue would kill you if you took the time to swim to the ocean floor). I stand on the edge of the cliff at the top of Pandaria and then fly my Eye of Kilrogg out until it hits the invisible wall, at which point I place my portal. Then, I fly out there myself and as soon as the teleport icon lights up I hit it and go through. Then just mount back up and fly the rest of the way. Possibly common sense, but I hope it helps someone. =D

    Either that, or you could fly out there, use a water-walking pot, then do it as normal. Considering the limited time on the EoK, I personally prefer that, but it's a handy method for people that don't have a pot I guess.

    When I last checked on the PTR, this supposed 'placeholder' island was still unchanged. The actual Isle of Thunder is instanced, and this older version is still here. So, this exploration and method should still be valid in 5.2.

    I checked this around 5 days ago - it could've changed since then, but I personally doubt it. After all, Blizzard is not in the habit of deleting places like this, especially of this size - they more just restrict our ways of getting to them.

    Ohh my bad then! I didn't know the actual isle of thunder was instanced. This is extremely interesting then and I'll be sure to make my own methods to get there
